@roaminglion any time Michigan and Ohio St lose on the same day, it’s a good day 😂
Go to bed.
So apparently OSU lost? LMAO , isn’t it funny though that southern was in hiding till whatever happened at the end?
I still can’t wait till these shit talkers have to bring it north !!
Also funny that the idiot from Aristes hid wherever he hides till he thought it was safe to come out.

I have to admit that I took the dog for a hike shortly after I posted this thread. We ran into people, stories started , fireworks flew, deer ran across the road, dog took off.
The end.

I was at my sister-in-law’s house watching the game I wasn’t hiding 😂
I thought Ohio St should’ve run the ball to set up an easier FG. It was a good game.

PffffffffbwahLMAO !! The timing of your return says otherwise.
When the 12 team playoffs take effect are the games played at college stadium or will they use the bowl system like they do now? Man I wish it was starting next year. Thanks
I found an article and it looks like the playoffs 2024 and 2025 will still use the bowl system and will rotate the playoff games.
Hope this helps:
- The 2024 first round will happen the week ending Saturday, Dec. 21 at the home field of the higher seed or at another site determined by the higher seed. Specific game dates will be announced later. The matchups would be No. 12 at No. 5, No. 11 at No. 6, No. 10 at No. 7 and No. 9 at No. 8.
- For 2024 and 2025, the quarterfinal rounds and the semifinal games will be played at rotated bowls
- 2024 quarterfinals: Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl
- 2024 semifinals: Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl
- 2025 quarterfinals: Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl
- 2025 semifinals: Fiesta Bowl and Peach Bowl
- 2024-25 season title game: Jan. 20, 2025 in Atlanta
- 2025-26 season title game: Jan. 19, 2026 in Miami
I'm so sick of this.... So basically let's just keep the bowl system in place so that All-southern teams can have home games.
Seems to me conferences could make more money if they played at college stadiums because you know all the games would sell out and the stadiums are usually bigger. Also, the more teams in the playoffs means more games and most people probably can only afford to go to one game?
I agree that it has always given Southern teams an edge, but I think most fans and players would rather the games be played in sunshine than in snow or extreme cold. Even if northern bowls were to be played indoors (Carrier Dome, etc.), who wants to spend what amounts to a vacation in Syracuse, Detroit etc. in mid-winter.
@brownale It’s all about money and people love the sunshine. But guys we’re all Penn St fans and we watched the goat Joe Paterno come south, go west and stay up north and win more games than any other coach in big dawg college football so it can and has been done.
I dont think it would detract one bit from the amount of people going. In some ways, it may give real fans more of a chance to get tickets rather than others just going for sun and vacay.
The Super Bowl in Indianapolis is rated as one of the best fan experiences in history. It was great, and polls showed fans loved it. Most everyone was all doom and gloom because it was a cold city, but it proves the opposite.

The issue is logistics for college stadiums. Sure the big city schools could do it, but small towns will have a hard time with those preperations on short notice.
That is why the new rules give host teams the option to move the game to a "local venue" for logistical reasons. If a small town like State College was already booked with other things, they could move the game to Philly if they wanted...
Good point Roam. but I don't know about Philly. If you want to give PA an enema, that's where you'd stick the hose!
Never Philly!! I highly doubt State College will ever be booked solid in December for anything other than football.

Oh I agree, but it was an easy example to use. Perhaps something like Miami of Ohio having an undefeated season and making it as a host. They may want to move it to Cleveland or something. Many other teams in the Group of 5 that have small venues in small towns.
I like that they gave the host the option.
