Yeah, kinda like the local tv stations touting how great the ACC is doing in bowl games.
Michigan and Ohio St just flat didn’t get it done but we gotta give credit to Georgia and especially TCU for getting the wins. I believe the bowl wins matter to the players and the fan bases but bowl season has lost its lust because there’s so many bowl games. Yesterday was a good day except me having to pull for Georgia but like I’ve said many time if it helps Penn State I put my pride to the side….Go Dawgs lol Let’s finish this thing Monday and get the big 10 their biggest bowl win baby! Let’s go Penn State baby!
@southern-psu-fan I have no doubt for the most part the kids playing in the games take it seriously, and the coaches are taking it seriously.
That said, there are so many kids opting out that the games are rendered meaningless In regards to benchmarking who's good and who's not. These teams are shells of themselves, the worse the bowl the more optouts there seem to be.
While there are some opt outs, the New Year's 6 bowls still seem relevant to me because half the teams are an opting out.

Fully prepared for the 10 - 14 point coming loss. Mr. Franklin looks up at the scoreboard with the "what's happening" look and we try the same non working plays over and over till it's too late. Those who opt out disgust me. Sure it's all about the money of course and I get it, but apparently "me" is way more important than team. What about the team and those who won't be going to the No Football League. Good thing our armed forces don't opt out. Yes ... I am a vet. Oops ... something more important to do than watch these shells of bowls .....clip the dog's toenails.

What about them? You mean the ones who publicly state they are happy for their teammates, wish them well, and get more playing time in the bowl game than they would have otherwise?

As a vet, you should know, they can't opt out and have a five year active enlistment to fulfill upon graduation. Personally, I'd rather sit back, have a couple beers and watch the game w/ my son....win or lose. But hey, if clipping dog toenails is your thing, have at it!
