Impossible not to be negative because it’s everywhere around here. At least most of you don’t live close enough to hear it all day long. I can’t even wear my PSU gear into a convenience store without having some stranger unload on me about Pat Kraft, Matt Campbell or Rocco Becht.
@psujoe Penn St football is in a lot of trouble right losing that recruiting class last year and this years class is average at best and we lost the QB in this class. Most of the Iowa St players probably won’t pan out and MC doesn’t seem like a coach that likes the portal. I’m not feeling it and it looks like we might be headed towards the Nebraska route. Hope I’m wrong
Here is the deal...Those of you who don't see it or refuse to believe it I have a bridge up here in New York that I have for sale and it sounds like some of you might even be interested in buying it...Grunk left because he sat down with this guy and he said he was bringing his boy in...Grunk knew he was going to be sitting this year behind this guys boy...His old coach said you come here you got the job...The kid went where he was going to play...This guy let the better QB go...As far as the 50 slots he had to fill is concerned I have to ask how many of those guys he made a real effort to keep...To me he seemed hell bent to bring his Iowa State boys in and let the guys that were here walk...I knew this was going to go one of 2 ways and it appears that it is going the wrong way...He is going to have a hell of a hard time recruiting people the way this is going...It is going to take some real NIL expenditures to turn this around...If that don't happen that big beautiful stadium they just renovated and all of the facility updates are going to be for nothing...This is a win/loss business...And he ain't winning and this program is used to success year in and year out...This fan base isn't going to go for what is going on here...I can tell ya...He will get next year but if this shit continues he is going to be gone after next year...I honestly don't see them winning 6 games to be bowl eligible...They may win 1 more and I ain't even sure of that...This is as bad as I have ever seen a Penn State team play...Those of you thinking he is going to bench his boy at QB are delusional...Not happening...I said this back in january or february or whenever...This kid didn't impress me at Iowa State and he sure as hell ain't impressing me here...I kept my cakehole shut and waited to see...Well I have seen...This is a nightmare scenario for this program...They are in heap big trouble...I am not a negative person by nature...But this is as bad as I have seen...Even his in game management is terrible...blowing time outs left and right...That is game preparation...That is shit good high school coaches don't screw up...Truth is if he don't win another game this year they may shit can him after this season...My personal opinion is he don't see year 3 and I give it about a 30% chance he don't see year 2 at this rate...
@the-funeral-director the more I hear Campbell defend Becht and vow not to bench him the more I believe we made a terrible hire. All I’ve seen so far this season is poor preparation, blind loyalty to players and questionable game management. I thought we got rid of this kind of crap when we fired JF but MC may be even worse. They want fans to donate towards NIL and as pissed off as this fanbase is right now they ain’t gonna get shit. At this point I think we lose to Purdue and if we do it’s gonna get really ugly.
