Except for hunting guns I’m all for raising the age to 21 to buy other guns. Personally I don’t think an 18 year old should be able to buy a 9mm but that’s just my opinion.
@roaminglion we have to be realistic and we both know there’s not going to be much done on gun control because we have the 2nd amendment and the courts are on the side of the 2nd amendment. I’m for raising the age to 21 to buy a gun. The problem isn’t guns, the problem is the people and we have a culture problem right now because of politics. The blame falls on republicans and democrats and until these 2 parties stop making people hate each other kids and everybody else will continue to die. The only thing to stop it imo is to put term limits on all politicians. I’m for 5 years on the president and 6 years for house and senators. Kids will continue to die until the hate stops,it’s just that simple. This is just my opinion. The hate has to stop!

We’ve made this bed now we have to lay in it and imo if we can teach a generation of kids to love and respect people it will fix itself. Jesus said, love your neighbor as you do yourself. The greatest gift Jehovah God gave us was love and we’re supposed to love one another. If we get to loving one another we’ll fix it but it will take 20 years unless Jehovah steps in and makes it quicker. You’ve heard me say, Jehovah knows how to spank us without using a belt.
@roaminglion I agree Roam, they might not care about a teacher with a gun but if a teacher with a gun can shoot and kill a killer before he kills 19 kids that’s a win. I’m not saying just arm some teachers with guns, I’m all for what you are for as well. I’m all for background checks and not letting bad people have guns but if a bad guy gets a gun and goes to a school and shoot it up, it will take another gun to kill him and take him down. I’m not saying everybody at schools need to be armed, I’m saying a few needs to be armed just in case. Let’s do everything we can to stop this evil crap from happening again. Maybe both our idea’s is what’s needed.
Southern, I think its a lot to ask of a teacher to be armed and the first responder. I'm thinking it takes more than just arms training to be proficient with guns, just the where with all and coolness under pressure....frankly I don't know if I could do it.

You are right Southern, nobody has all the answers. The situation is far more complex than a few knee jerk recommendations from either side. At least if the country can have a realistic conversation around the matter and free ourselves from the self contained, baked in thinking, we can get a hold of this thing.
@lakerie we’ve had nuts this week threatening the president of the United States and our Supreme Court justices and we wonder why are kids are gettin killed in schools. We got to crack down on crime and hit that chit with an iron fist or it’s really going to get bad. Who wouldn’t want a gun with all the crime going on. Until we get a hold on violent crimes we’ll continue to die.
Just ain’t no way to sugar coat it lake with everything that’s happening.
