If someone is in a store that requires a mask and the other patrons of the store have an issue with it, then the knucklehead without a mask deserves to get tossed out of the store. They have no idea what the health background of anyone in that store is and their risk factors. This is part of the problem. Wearing a mask is a simple task, yet it has been made a political statement, which is asinine. It’s for the greater good of our country as a whole, not just a select few.
Yes, I am well aware of the damage done during the rioting. Remember, you were the one blaming Antifa (from Trumps mouth or twitter to your ears) until I gave you evidence that there were multiple entities responsible for the nonsense. I have a hard time understanding why you are dwelling on it weeks later when there are multiple major issues going on in this country? That’s your perogative, I guess. People need to be held accountable, but there is a lot of other things that need to be dealt with right now.
As far as the election goes, I have a hard time believing people are gullible enough to elect him again. You have to ask yourself, Is this country in a better place now than it was before he got elected? The hard answer is no, it is not. As I said before, when multiple high level distinguished military leaders say he is a threat to national security and the Constitution, you owe it to our founding fathers to pay attention. Of course all Presidents pander to their base. The really good ones unite people and work with bipartisan support to accomplish things for the greater good of the country. Have you seen much of that in the past 4 years? Go back and take a look at FD’s post some time ago about the steps people have taken in the past when attempting to be dictators and ask yourself how many of those boxes this guy checks off.

@lionbacker99I don't know what your background is but, I can tell you first hand from my personal experience as a 30 year retired (prior enlisted) Naval Officer, the majority, yes majority of your so called " high level distinguished military leaders" are nothing but politicians! Once they get to O6 and beyond they are nothing but politically driven boot lickers especially ring knocking academy grads!!!

Thanks for your input Navylion. I appreciate your response and your time served. You certainly have more experience than the rest of us. I just don’t remember this many former high ranking military officers coming out and publicly criticizing a sitting President. When Admiral McRaven spoke out, it grabbed my attention. Since that time several more have spoken out, like James Mattis, Mike Mullen, Colin Powell, James Kelly among others. The fact that Mattis and Kelly worked along side the President and later came out and spoke unfavorably about him, speaks volumes to me. I understand your point of view, but if the Kelly, Mattis, and McMaster were lauded a competent, valued White House cabinet members when appointed, then later spoke against the President’s character and actions after working with him, what are we supposed to think?
So, just curious, given the current state of affairs, what is your opinion of the State of the Union?

@lionbacker99 Actually, I thought I gave you a like when you posted about "no politics" before, if I didn't, shame on me.

In my military jargon, the state of the Union is as F’d up as a soup sandwich! Both sides of the isle need to stow their shit get their heads out of the arses and stop worrying about trying to look better and trying to one up each other and do their damn jobs!! All of them serve the people and are not supposed to be self serving. In 2014 is was selected for promotion to Commander and turned it down and retired because I refused to take part in the political BS that was gong on.  So some of us have seen this going on a lot before the Trump era. Sad state of affairs and NOT just because of 1 official. It takes more than 1 to have a gun fight and I’ll leave it right there.

No worries. I knew it would eventually be contentious, but the cat’s out of the bag now and here we are.

Thanks for the response. I appreciate your input. Two of my Army buddies would call it more f’d up than a football bat. I agree with you, this mess has been coming for a long time. Both sides are culpable. Perhaps term limits would help. People like McConnell, Graham, and Pelosi should have been put out to pasture a long time ago. Nobody works with bipartisanship in mind these days which is exactly what they should be focusing on. Checks and balances and compromises are a backbone of our democracy.  I agree that it takes more than 1 bad seed to create all of this mess, however, 1 bad actor certainly can exacerbate it. I wasn’t around for the 60’s, but in my lifetime, this is the most divided I can ever remember Americans being and it is a sad state. Challenging times are supposed to make us unite and be stronger. I’m not seeing that. Stay safe. Have a good weekend.

Politically I think we are a divided nation but we always have been but the people of this country stand together except for a few nuckleheads. The last time I seen a fight  was at a bar 30 years ago and we all went to jail. Everywhere I go I see people happy and gettin a long. Yes people have who they want to win in politics and I do as well but if my man or woman don’t win it ain’t the end of the world and everything ain’t  gloom and doom. 99% of people get a long and are happy and I see this everywhere I go and I travel to 6 or 7 states. I go in the QT and I see 3 or 4 different races of people and 99% of the time everybody has a smile on their face and they do because life is great living in the USA 🇺🇸

@psumark Speaking of NJ, if they decide to cancel B1G football, Rutgers might not have a losing season. Then Jerseyians could smile too.

Thanks for the articles Navy. I appreciate reading these types of articles outside of the mainstream media. These pretty much confirm what I thought.
