In a matter of weeks I was expecting to see some HS scrimmages, excited to watch some Friday night games. Well, I just heard news that a few schools are thinking about forfeiting the season. I was told that the conversation came up a few times this week in meetings due to rising cases and uncertainty. I'm not happy although I think it's the right choice. Seriously, come on. College universities , ivy league already canceled so I think HS football is not going to happen. When a few HS teams throw in the towel it's just a matter of time to throw the cards on the table. Call it off until 2021.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing I think people in the NE take politics more seriously than anywhere else in our country but then again I believe the smartest people in this country are from the NE going by all the universities up there so y’all are probably right to care more. Just so you know Southern, Trump doesn't care about you, your family or how many people get sick from the virus. He doesn't care about football either. I called for no politics a very long time ago and asked caven to clean up the political talk.Nobody backed me up because it was largely unopposed right wing banter. Nothing changed, so here we are. Like it or not, this is the divisive culture we live in due to a divisive leader.
I think it's fair to say that Cave is probably letting the politics go right now because there's no football to really talk about.
I'm sure the "no politics" mantra will be back in effect when we have something else to talk about.

I don't mind opposing points of view, I actually like a good, well thought out discussion, though not keen on politics and religion since it's so heart felt to everyone. I've been doing my best to try and keep my mouth shut, but you start reading something sort of related to football, even high school football from FT, and the next thing were off on a tangent. So you really can't pick and choose what topic not to read. Finally, to reiterate, I did not and will not vote for Trump. (And there we go, right back to politics)

Um. Yeah it IS everyone’s business who’s wearing mask. The mask protects others, not necessarily the person wearing it, as much as others around them. Not wearing a mask isn’t being a badass. It’s being a self absorbed, ignorant a hole. It’s a simple request and yes it is required in some states when in public places like stores. If we had been wearing them from the start and seeing that message from the top down (No politics! 😡) maybe we would be coming out of this mess or already back to a more normal life, but noooo some narcissist had to make the simple request divide us.

If Dr Fouci says wear one it’s common since to wear one but it’s not a law that can be enforced from what I hear so what can you do? I don’t think it’s political I just don’t think people want to wear one and as it stands right now they have that right. I wear one by the way
