You are correct.  I just googled the stadium in 1967 and dang am I getting old! Where did the last 50 years go? Amazing what things looked like back then, how you forget and then remember once you see a photo.  I was in like 1st or 2nd grade, so right on the edge of when certain memories/events stick with you.

1981. Penn state Notre Dame.

That was one of my first games too, where I went with friends, as opposed to being with Aunt and Uncle who had season tickets.  If my memory serves - Rick Mirer was ND's QB and ended up on the cover of SI laying in the mud surrounded by several Nittany Lion legs.  Also seem to remember walking down college avenue with the goal post that game too.  24-21 PSU .. sound right??  Craig Fayak kick for the win???

Bingo!  My friends and I were pushing cars out of the mud for beer!

Do you remember pushing a Winnebago out and getting a case of Stroh's??  A handsome guy got out to help you guys while his wife drove??

We did get Stroh’s from someone. Back then it was a popular beer. But i don’t remember the bago. We pushed probably 20 vehicles that day and drank free for a week! Our prize of the day was a gallon of wild turkey from some old dude in a station wagon. He offered us some weed too but we declined.

OMG wild Turkey. That’s the first alcoholic beverage I ever had and I got sick as a dawg drinking it Murray. I knew after that night I didn’t like alcohol until I tried 🍺 beer 😁. Eyes love me some beer baby lol

1967 or 1968. Sat in wooden bleachers in the endzone.  It was pretty amazing.

1983 against WVU.  As I recall, friends of my (now wife) were WVU fans who did not see the need for tickets and tried to climb the gates to gain admission.  (Yes, alcohol was involved).  They spent some time in the back of a police car, but somehow avoided an actual arrest.
