Urban had a short speech about what happened, and admitted that he either should have saw the red flags or cared more about the other people involved, regarding how he handled the Zack Smith situation. That was a good admission, however he then said that he "mishandled" Big Ten media days. Said he did not attempt to mislead anyone.
Seriously, just say you lied and own it. What else is lying about what you knew than an attempt to mislead reporters and fans? Just say the words, why is it so hard. Why can't he just admit that he lied. All this lawyer, bullshit wording... "Failed to be accurate", "wasn't prepared to answer fully", "did not attempt to mislead". DUDE, YOU LIED. People would respect him more if he just admitted it.
Why is it so hard for him to say I lied, the journalists put me on the spot and I made the wrong decision. I'm sorry. the more you dance around it, the more I believe you really aren't sorry. You're just sorry you got caught
