Winning always cures heart broken  pain lol. I just hate it we’re out of the playoffs picture but the Rose Bowl will be awesome

we aren't out of the playoff picture, as I said this doesn't change anything. to make the college football playoff we needed to beat Ohio State, we still do and if we win the Big Ten with one loss we will go to the playoff

Both.  You win as a team and you lose as a team.  Our execution of the game plan sucked........that's on the players.  Playing Slade in anything but mop up is on the coaches.  If he makes any kind of block at all, Cliff's 2nd int is a catch for the good guys......that's on the coaching staff for playing him and Slade (player) for execution.  Gotta give Minny credit, they came to play today and handed us our lunches.....everyone one....coaches, players, even their cheerleaders were better than ours.

I wrestled.  If I ran out of gas in the 3rd period and lost a match that was on me......not the coaches.  If my coach told me to choose neutral position when my opponent is better on his feet and I get taken down and lose the match, that's on him.

I hope you’re right Roam but if Ohio st gets left out with one loss ain’t no way we get in especially if it’s the same spot Oklahoma wants and that’s what it’s looking like right now but I guess things could change. I see 2 SEC teams, Clemson and Oklahoma

I dont.  Our secondary has been exposed and that aint getting fixed in two weeks.  We've made opposing QB's look like HT winners all year long.  Cain healthy??  We'll still get our fair share of Slade and that's a nightmare.  Too many drops by our WRs.

Ohio State lost to unranked Purdue by 30, we lost to what will be a top 10 undefeated Minnesota by 5. Big difference

This sucks, I feel after watching that game we truly lost it ourselves. Not to take credit from Minnesota, but we beat ourselves with help from the refs. The PI calls are truly maddening, considering they were blatantly called different from both teams.

Offensive PI: Their WR runs horizontally into Brisker before the ball arrives, injures him, and no call. Our WR runs straight down the field and.... PI? Okay.

Defensive PI: Their WR isn't really hampered by Reid all that much, and the ball is un-catchable. Okay, I could stomach that if earlier in the game a DB hadn't destroyed Hamler before the ball got there while his buddy then picked off the pass.

Anyways, after the game I'm gutted but optimistic. 1. It's a young team and the likelihood we were going undefeated was remote. Now we can play with a chip on our shoulder... I felt we came into today overconfident and it bit us on the azz. It's all still there for us: We win out we are the Big Ten champs with 4 huge wins over highly ranked teams and our 1 loss is to a highly ranked Minnesota. Not a bad resume, they'd put us in.

Aside from bad passing from Clifford early on and TOs, at least we quit the RB rotation for the most part. My hope is Cain gets healthy by OSU and we see him and Brown share the backfield. Done, no more Slade... he again failed miserably in pass protection today.

Another note --- I'm beginning to feel like Fleming was actually a big loss, because Shorter is starting to look like a real bust. Just not making plays we he has the opportunity. If this offense can find a tall receiver like Godwin to be on the other side, we will reach another level. But Shorter NEEDS to step up for that to happen, I don't see anyone else on the roster capable. Dotson is a good receiver, but not a deep threat tall guy.

We can beat OSU, and if we do this Minnesota game will be a distant memory.

Curious if Fleming might give PSU a second look since Shorter isn't panning out.  Still many days from now till signing day.

I keep seeing the running back play being referenced over and over again...The running backs aren't the issue...Slade notwithstanding...He just looks out of sorts...Brown and Ford are excellent running backs...let me ask you guys a question...1st and goal from the 9...How many chances did the running back get to score? I will save you all a lot of time...How many carries did the RB's get inside the 10? How many plays were run inside the 10 yesterday? The redzone issue yesterday wasn't talent, personnel or physical ability...The formations and play calling was terrible...I disagree with all of you with the end of the 1st half...That penalty would have put the ball on the 2 yard line...If you can't drill the ball in from the 2 you don't deserve to win...I woulda went for it there...The offense was moving the ball up and down the field and self destructed...You guys are on the RB's...The problem that jumped out at me other than redzone offense was the defensive cover scheme...There are 2 issues I have and they are both coaching...It seems these kids are always out of position and secondly they never look back for the football...I won't even get into the fact that in 3rd and long it always seems like somebody gets beat deep...If I am playing PSU going forward I am spreading the field...slants, slip screens, draws and delayed crossing routes...Indiana will do that...Next weekend is going to be interesting....

The bottom line is protecting the football... PSU did not do that and 14 points were the outcome for Minnesota.

Poor coverage in the secondary was the only other major factor that contributed to this loss.

It's not rocket science.

Nitnation, you don’t see a problem with only scoring 26 points on Minnesota? When you can’t run the ball constantly you will have a problem scoring and we had a big problem with that yesterday. I promise y’all if James Franklin thought the running games was good we would’ve run the ball down Minnesota throat.

Things that need fixed:

1. Secondary... WTF guys?

2. Cain comes back, him and Brown 70/30 rotation going forward

3. Shorter NEEDS TO FIGURE IT OUT

4. Clifford has to put together 4 quarters, not just 2 1/2

5. No more spitting, because it was obvious Shelton was missed

We ran the ball well in the game... The problem had nothing to do with the Running game...

The story is why are we giving up so much passing yards and why are we having 3 turnovers that lead to 14 points.  Those two reasons alone are why we lost.
