Could this mean they will go after a QB and a DE?

This dude has been checking out nits of the round table because we’ve been saying this for a few weeks 😁
PLEASE GET A QB - I'd go after Brewer from Baylor hard.
Make that a double PLEASE
I'd say Franklin is thinking it but is stopping short of saying it. The DE thing is a bit alarming. We have mega star talent there but don't seem to be turning that into production on the field.

Good way to scare away recruits and obviously it's working. The kids see the writing on the wall. Seriously, what 18 year old kid wants to take a chance with Franklin's "try out program".

Yeah, because Ohio State, and their second ranked recruiting class for 2021, doesn't have a quarterback leading the team who they got from the transfer portal.
Michigan State just added a QB from the portal.

Michigan State is adding quarterback Anthony Russo, a record-setting passer at Temple, as a transfer.
Russo announced his transfer destination Wednesday, tweeting that he is "blessed, honored, and excited to be a Spartan.
"Along with setting an Owls team record for completions last season, Russo leaves Temple ranked in the top four in team history for passing yards (6,287), completions (536), attempts (899) and touchdowns (44).
@cavensprawl. Ga Tech is losing more players than any team from just scanning over it but they did pick up a few. Penn St is losing around 4 but not picking up any. Hopefully the Baylor QB will jump on board.
Here is who is available in the portal.
I've read that Franklin is in hot pursuit of this guy:

Any valid reason not to take a look at the Gunnel kid who entered out of Arizona?
Damn there are a lot of players in the portal!
If I am a highly rated high school QB - I would be concerned about signing with a coach that dips into the portal for a QB instead of remaining loyal to his own recruits. But I guess times have changed.
@psu61. And most of ‘em are Ga Tech 61 can these transfers from the portal play right away or do they have to sit a year. I was thinking only guys that have graduated could play immediately?

If that was how HS QB's thought, the top ones wouldn't be signing with Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Georgia. But they are.
Honestly, if I was a HS recruit I'd want to play for a coach who plays the best player, not the one's he's "loyal" too. Loyalty seems like playing politics, who does the coach "like"

This is exactly why I want Brewer Southern, he's a Grad transfer. Unless you've graduated, if you are in the portal the only way you can play immediately is with a waiver.
I agree Brewer will be a QB that can help us win the big 10 championship next year and get in the playoffs the other QB might need to be groomed. Brewer has some good experience.
I’m starting to like the portal because you can get some help right away. Wisconsin, Auburn and Oklahoma has done great with transfers.

Athletes can soon transfer schools and play immediately. According to proposed legislation sent to Division I Council members and will be voted on for approval in January then have an effective date of Aug. 1, 2021. I would assume that any player that transferred prior will also be ruled immediately eligible.

@southern-psu-fan Speaking of OSU, they're having what might be another Covid outbreak. Things might get interesting.

So this covers student athletes that have already transferred and enrolled which makes me even more sure that the measure they're voting on in Jan will give everyone else eligibility.
