Allegedly big Penn State news coming shortly. I’m wondering if they’ll announce a bunch of signings at once. Noticed ISU has more of their guys ranked in the top 100 than we do. I’m hoping we get their #1ranked CB and that 6’3”” WR with multiple years of eligibility.

If you look at it one year at a time Becht is the better choice IMO. He knows the coaches and system and is probably the perfect transition QB for us. I’ve seen one writer already predict he will be a Heisman finalist.
This kid from Iowa State ain't as good as Grunk is and with all the other QB's in the portal why would they choose this kid and not go for one of the top guys? This is the first move that I don't like...
@the-funeral-director I feel that Grunkemeyer is not elusive and gets sacked more than he should. I also believe that quarterbacks should dive when they run the ball - a sliding quarterback limits the yards gained and exposes them to being injured by hits to the chest, neck or head. As I recall, Grunkemeyer is a slider. Sliding shows a lack of aggression and awareness.

Grunk is a redshirt freshman who played about 6 games and 3 of them were against top 10 defenses in the country...You DEVELOP the kid...You COACH him...Look at the improvement the kid made...He is only going to get better...You think this kid Rocco is a better QB? I have watched this kid play almost every game for Iowa State...Good luck with him...He ain't as good as the kid we had...This Iowa State east is going to be a f**king disaster...He thinks he is going to line up the Iowa State roster against Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana and Oregon talent he is going to get his head handed to him...Listen...You wanna bring in a more experienced QB in the portal then you bring in one of the top guys...There are a lot of way more talented kids in the portal than this kid from Iowa State...I could accept an upgrade but this kid from Iowa State ain't no upgrade...HE IS A DOWNGRADE...This guy is turning into Franklin with this favoritism and loyalty baloney...Keep the best players and play them...Iowa State east is going to be a disaster...BOOK IT...

I will remind you of this in November of 2026 Homer...He isn't as good as Grunk...Grunk has a much higher ceiling...The only thing he has is time over Grunk...He is a Senior and Grunk is a Sophomore...They also said that Allar was a 5* as well...My eyes tell me he ain't the answer...If I am wrong you boys can call me out...I don't think I am wrong here...This is a mistake...
Who cares how many year Grunk has? No guarantee he would stay more than one more season.

I think you have valid concerns. But I am hopeful the coaches are better judges of potential than Franklin.
Nobody hopes I am wrong more than me...I want to be wrong here...There is no doubt in my mind that Grunk has the higher ceiling and that he is the better QB...This is a downgrade as far as I am concerned...Letting Coleman walk was another big mistake that is going to come back to haunt them...You have talent like that in your building you do what you gotta do to retain them...It is early and the portal deals are yet to be done...Right now this Iowa State east baloney ain't exciting me...

Some of these guys might be leaving because they believe they can get more money. MC might be trying to keep the guys that’s leaving we just don’t know.
