My question is how much are they paying this QB from Iowa State? Is that money worth it over retaining Grunk and using the money you saved elsewhere? If this kid is indeed the #7 player in the portal they paid top dollar for him...Lets say they gave that kid 3 million and Grunk would have cost 1.8 or 2...You could have put that million dollars somewhere else to plug a hole...I just don't like this move...

It appears only Rip and I agree with you. Grunk is a much better QB right now as a Soph. with only 7 games of experience. Obviously Franklin lost the locker room last year - Terry did one hell of a job regrouping this unit mid season. Do you know of an actual website that has definitive portal moves, or is everything just still speculative at this point? I like your Iowa State East reference - lets wait until the dust settles and we see what we actually have. Just because someone is rated as #1 whatever position in the portal doesn't mean he's a top players, may be 100th in country, but #1 in the portal - using these rankings is almost fake news, doesn't tell the whole story.
That makes it even worse...So now you are going to pay 2 QB's God knows what to fix a problem that doesn't exist...We had 2 top ranked QB's here already...Who would have been here for over a million less than what you are paying the 2 guys you are bringing in...Stupid...They will regret this move...Mark my words...

It it was, Cignetti wouldn't be at Indiana right now as he was certainly offered a ton to go elsewhere.
Said in a year where Mendoza was a 3* QB and won the Heisman. Who cares what they were ranked... Allar was a 5*.
I care how they play... I wish Grunk was staying, and I think he was/is going to be great somewhere. However he committed to Franklin, and sat until injury here. Perhaps he just wants a change of scenery and I wouldn't blame him
