@lionbacker99 If we win out and both Michigan and Ohio State go to the CFP, yes we would be a lock for the Rose Bowl. Starting this year the Rose is contractually obligated to take the highest ranked Big Ten and Pac-12 teams who aren't in the CFP.
@roaminglion Hasn’t that been the deal for years? Contract or not?
Nope, TCU played Wisconsin at the Rose Bowl in 2011 during the BCS and up until last year the rose bowl was still allowed to take from another conference in non CFP years if they wanted.
I’ll take the Rose Bowl or orange bowl hopefully it’s Clemson or Oregon that we get to play. Hope these 2 teams win out. We gotta take care of first though
Absolutely. As Jimmy would say, gotta go 1-0 (for 3 weeks in a row). I think the guys will do it and we'll be off to a nice bowl and hopefully a great match up!
@roaminglion Maybe the Rose Bowl was permitted to pick whomever they wanted, but more times than not they line up a traditional B1G vs PAC 12 battle. Seven out of the last 10 Rose Bowls have been B1G vs PAC 12.
@lionbacker99 I know. I didn't say they always took someone else, I said the rules still permitted it until this year... Which was my original point that this year it's a lock, rather than just likely if we win out and both OSU and Michigan went to the CFP.
Y’all know I usually don’t have a whole lot of faith with Ohio St beating a SEC team just because of what SEC teams have done to ‘em the last 30 years but I believe this year we could see 2 big 10 teams in the playoffs and who knows they could end up playing each other in a rematch assuming Michigan and Ohio St win out the rest of the regular season which I think they will. Penn St ain’t gettin the respect they deserve we gotta good football team we just had a schedule this year that didn’t do us any favors but if we win out we could end up in the top 5 especially if Michigan and Ohio St play for the NC. See I believe going forward teams are catching us at the wrong time the defense, OL and RB’s are starting to click we just need Clifford to not make mistakes and manage the game good which he has been doing except in the Ohio St game. The end of the season is right around the corner and I believe things are looking great for us. And the Michigan game we just walked into a hornets nest that game Michigan ain’t that much better than we are it was just one of those games you get your clock cleaned.

If both Tennessee and Georgia win out there is no way in hell both Ohio State and Michigan are getting in too. Tennessee would jump over whoever loses that game
@roaminglion I believe if Michigan and Ohio State play a close game Tennessee would get left out considering they really got their butts handed to ‘em by Georgia. That game wasn’t as close as the score.

Almost chance that happens. Not taking a team that just lost over a team that lost to the unanimous #1 by 13 points 5 or 6 weeks prior.
