Nice try spinster.
Under the State College Borough ordinance, police can charge a student in possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana with a summary offense that carries a fine of $250. They can also charge a student caught using marijuana a summary offense that carries a fine of $350.
And then there’s this directly from the PSU student affairs website,
Recreational marijuana remains illegal in Pennsylvania. Possession of a small amount is classified as a misdemeanor, and carries with it the potential for fine, costs, jail time, and collateral consequences that can negatively affect a student's life goals.
The State College Borough Ordinance allows officers to cite an individual with a summary offense for certain marijuana-related offenses within State College Borough.
The definitions used in the Ordinance, however, are different than the state law. The specific violations are (1) possessing a small amount of marijuana, (2) possessing drug paraphernalia, and (3) smoking a small amount of marijuana in a public place.
Smoking marijuana includes “vaping.” The state law does not address “smoking” and only covers possession.
The Ordinance’s definition for drug paraphernalia is limited to only devices that are used or intended to be used for “storing or for smoking marijuana.” Ordinance 2090, § 1002(a). Any item used for another purpose would be drug paraphernalia under the state law. For example, the Ordinance would not cover a scale (weighing marijuana) or a grinder, and possessing them would result in misdemeanor charges.
The definition of a “small amount of marijuana” is the same in the Ordinance and the PA law
Next you’ll be telling that State College has decriminalized shetting on public sidewalks?
3 game suspension.
Tell me you don't know what decriminalization means, without telling me. This literally describes the legal concept of decriminalization... FFS LMAO
Good lord only in Oregon could being charged with a crime be called decriminalization.
I'm not sure if you seriously don't understand the concept, or that you think it's somehow unique to Oregon? Maybe you should go talk to the city of Carlise PA, who has the explanation of their decriminalization ordinance on their website.
Just so you know, Carlisle PA is in Pennsylvania. Not Oregon.

Non-traffic summary offenses will still appear on a background check, and traffic violations will show up on your driving record.
So obviously it hasn’t been decriminalized in State College.

P.S. Carlisle isn’t State College
FFS it's like talking to a brick wall. It's okay, you have no freaking clue what you are talking about. You quite obviouslt do not understand what decriminalization means in this context.
It's okay, I should have known this coming from a guy who thinks 30 draft picks from Iowa is more than 46 drafts picks from Penn State
So now we've gone from "Pennsylvania will never do what Oregon did" to but, but, but Carlisle isnt State College!

Let me spell it out for you moron:
Decriminalization is a legislative process that removes prosecutions against an marijuana, or other things, so that it remains illegal but has no criminal penalties or at most some civil fine.
So... AGAIN... Tell me you have no freaking clue what decriminalization means without telling me. If you don't understand sonething, just shut your mouth. Don't try and Google a definition you half understand and post it here. You are like those idiots who read the dictionary to use big words not knowing how to use them properly.
So let me spell it out further: If at one point something was prosecuted, and a legislative act made it a fine... THAT IS WHAT PEOPLE CALL DECRIMINALIZATION.

LMAO !!! LEGAL PENALTIES ARE STILL IN PLACE IN STATE COLLEGE AND PA !!! Even if it is decriminalized in STATE COLLEGE it doesn’t matter in this case because it looks like he may have been arrested in University Park which isn’t considered part of State College. Smoke another joint and spin again asshole?
I love how every time you are proven wrong on your BS, you call it spin and move onto something else.
What else would any of us expect from a guy who thinks 30>46
And I love how you talk in circles and then claim you’ve proven people wrong. Probably quite common in a state where burning down police stations is considered a peaceful protest.

Not sure what you’re trying to do with those numbers but if you’re talking NFL players you’re bulshitting again because PSU only has 34

Draft picks genius. My lord you just keep digging deeper.
...and BTW Iowa has less than 34 active players too. But tell us all again how they "put more players into the NFL"
You just keep opening your mouth and removing all doubt. I'm nkt surprised you think actual facts are spin.
Homer, did you ever try the Yuengling Octoberfest on draft? My father-in-law had it last week on draft and he said it was good. Gettin the grass cut and I’m drinking a bottle of it now lol
@roaminglion “Facts” LMFAOWDAB!!
Ok RoamingFactmanBullshitterDooshbag I’d like to stay and continue this pissing game that you love so much but I need to get ready for a weekend trip to a game that I’m attending in State College tomorrow. Maybe if you’re lucky ForumTighten will come in and share his vast knowledge of wild mushrooms and you can argue with him about that while I’m gone.

Nice diversion attempt !! I’ve had it but it’s been a while, Yuengling used to be my go to brand but lately it’s seemed too heavy for me and I’ve mostly given that type of beer up. I do know it’s really popular up here.

Maybe try Corona light. Suits you well
This is a stupid effing conversation. It’s not cocaine or heroin. It’s a little weed. He’s a 18-20 yr old kid. He didn’t hurt anyone else. We all made stupid ass mistakes at that age. He owned up to it when the cops arrived. Bench him for a half this week, or the whole game, or never. I don’t care. Make him pay the fine and move on.

You must have been appalled and furious at the “peaceful protest” on Jan 6 at our nation’s capital when the capital was stormed, vandalized, police officers were assaulted, and pipe bombs were left at political headquarters while the “commander in chief” sat silently for hours watching it happen with no response. #sad
@lionbacker99 You are the smart one, you mostlydont respond
@roaminglion It depends on my mood. Some days I just can’t sit silently. Today is one of those days for some reason.
I only have one thing to say about this and then I will return to the sidelines...I don't use drugs of any kind with the exception of beer, wine and tequila which I enjoy from time to time. I can only speak from my experience so this is by no means a blanket statement. I have never buried a person as a result of marijuana use of which I can't say the same about any other recreational drug including alcohol. I have been in the funeral industry for 40 years. So that is my statement of which you can all read and take from it what you will...I can also state that I use CBD cream and oil for pain relief from my years of playing sports and say without a doubt that it helps me...I will also say that currently prescription pain killers and fentanyl along with gun violence are the main killers of young people under the age of 25 that come through my funeral homes and #2 car accidents (usually dui) are a distant 2nd...It's a tragedy that our society isn't doing enough to curtail these tragedies...
@the-funeral-director I agree FD except for liquor, I’m a beer man only lol
I got some family members and friends that were potheads growing up and none of ‘em are doing good so there’s that side too. Pots got its place but it’s definitely not good for you. It’s destroyed quite a few people I know.
@southern-psu-fan What makes you think pot was why they arent doing well? Just curious.
@roaminglion Before and after effects. None of that stuff is good for you if you do it to much including alcohol. If it’s just a weekend thing it probably won’t affect you that much. I’m talking about folks that abuse it which is most of the people I know. Moderation man lol
I have a lot of family members who were alcoholics and they either died long before their time or are not doing well...I am not advocating for everybody to start using pot but I am just pointing out that my experience tells me that from all the drugs one could ingest marijuana is the least injurious to ones body...I could make a very convincing argument that alcohol has destroyed more lives than marijuana has...I will also argue that marijuana has far more medicinal uses and benefits than alcohol has as well...I don't use marijuana other than my cbd cream and oil for my aches and pains from playing sports for many years and I certainly enjoy a drinking a few drinks a week as most of us do...
