Southern, I just don't think we are that good. Yes, we are 7-1, but today was a mess of a game against a bad Indiana team. We should have gone into half time up 21 or more and we needed the 4th quarter to pull off a win. I hope we can get by the Terps so the Michigan really has meaning!

@mtnittanylion these games are hard to win. We’re a top 10 team just not top 5. We’ve lost 3 games in the last 2 years both losses were to top 5 teams. We’re very good just not dominant. It’s a dog fight every week baby.
I'll go out on a limb, Mich doesn't need to steal plays, their D line will wear down our O line, our passing receptions will be nil, their O'lne is gonna wear out our D line, Corum is rushing for 150 yards and the DBs are gonna get cooked a few times for having to come up in the box. IMO it boils down to bigger, stronger, faster and better coached.

@psu61 Roam made a very good point the other day. If Michigan knows what the plays are is easier to run to the ball and the 2 games they lost the last 2 years are to teams they couldn’t steal the other teams plays. It’s Michigan’s QB that scares me though. I’d bring the heat somewhere every play on this dude don’t let him take the game over. I believe we can win especially being at home. Games like yesterday happen and the team showed us that they can make a play when the game is on the line. That was a huge step in the right direction imo. I feel a lot better about our QB after seeing him step up like he did. 7-1 ranked in the top 10 that’s who we are right now.

That’s exactly the way I see it. Meatchicken will win by 20+ and the sad part about it is that we’ve been out recruiting them forever.
@psujoe the difference in michigan is their QB. He’s a difference maker that can win you a NC.gotta get after him.
@been-there-ii it’s a good rivalry game brother. It’s better than playing Delaware and UMASS. It would be good imo if Penn St and Pitt could get something worked out. I’d love to have 1 gimme game and play Pitt and WV every year. Maybe switch WV and Syracuse up.

@psujoe I completely understand the frustration from losing to Ohio St and Michigan but including these 2 teams there’s only a few teams that’s winning more than Penn St. Georgia, Tide, Ohio St, Michigan and I would throw Clemson in there but I don’t think they deserve more credit than Penn St because we would kick their butt the last 2 years. That’s about it Homer so who besides these teams are better than we are? What coach would you go get? We had a few offenses under Joe that was dang good but imo since James Franklin got to Penn St we’re scoring more points than we ever have. McSorely and Clifford both made the NFL and I believe the kid we got now will be better for the NFL than the other 2. We gotta very young QB and we’re struggling on offense but we are 7-1 ranked in the top 10 with only a few teams in the country that can beat us. We dominated the PAC champs last year and USC got beat 2 times by Utah so it wasn’t luck they landed in the Rose Bowl. The problem is we’re in a division with 2 of the few teams that can beat us. If Georgia played in our division they’d lose a game every year just like we do. We just gotta keep fighting and our time will come.
We just gotta take care of business. I think we'll see more from our O now that Allar got the "perfect" monkey off his back. BTW, I saw in an article that an unnamed member of the sign squad was at our game with U of Mass. He said he left at half-time because of the weather. He didn't think the $1,000 he was getting paid by Meatchicken was worth sitting in the rain any longer!
For anybody that wants James Franklin replaced who would you try and get? Yurcich ain’t going anywhere unless he’s becoming a head coach so if you want him out then James Franklin has to go? Who would you get?

@psu61 great coach but he doesn’t want the Penn St job. He could’ve had the job if he wanted it back in 2011 but he didn’t want the challenge so he took the Ohio St job.

I believe he stays another year. He’s good at what he’s doing now and most people don’t think he’s a good HC. I believe he needs 3 or 4 goods years as a DC before he gets another HC position. He flat out stunk at Miami
I think Manny goes after this year, the question is where but how many college hc positions are available right now that are worth it. Maybe he goes to the NFL, not as a head coach but as a DC. The pay is good, less college bullcripe ( from what I’ve read ) and it’s a foot in the door. I’d love to see him stay though.
@lakerie you might be right brother and one thing we all know is he’s had 2 years watching one of the best in James Franklin coach, recruit and run a big time college football program and that will pay off for Manny if he decides to leave. Lake, we gotta find a way to beat Michigan buddy and get in the playoffs. Man I want to get into the playoffs so bad I can’t stand it lol

If anything, it's possible some will give him a look due to the COVID thing. First time head coach and only got 1 year to really recruit his guys before COVID just ruined everything. Perhaps some look at that and wonder if it was a bit of a crazy situation and he gets another shot
@roaminglion a team like Michigan St might take a chance especially after he’s had 2 years under James Franklin learning how the big 10 works and watching James Franklin recruit. What has a team Michigan St got to lose? This dude has been around some very good coaches
