Man I just don’t understand this coronavirus because I’m out there delivering everyday and things look normal. My oldest son is a nurse and he’s on one of those travel teams going to different hospitals every day. My daughter-in-law is also a nurse and we haven’t seen them in 2 weeks they say it’s not safe for them to stop by. I couldn’t imagine what it’s like for our brothers and sisters in NYC man it’s really bad up there. I guess things look normal for me because I’m by myself most of the time. Everything down here is pretty much shut down but it looks normal just not as much traffic. I don’t know man but I’ll be glad when this crap ends. Some stuff just don’t make since because how is it worse here than in China? Also my son-in-law is in lockdown at fort brag until sometime in May. Y’all keep safe because Brett tells me it’s going to be bad the next 2 weeks. I don’t know what Gods big picture is but I do know he’s in control nothing happens on his watch that he doesn’t let happen and I’ll leave that at that. Stay safe my friends!

Part of the problem might be that when China said, "Stay in and don't socialize", the population did or went to jail. Here(NY) we got told to stay in and practice social distancing and the idiots have a tailgate party to celebrate not having to go to work.

It might be better said the corona virus doesn't understand you. How else can you explain why some totally healthy victims contract the virus  yet do not survive and why others such as a 90 something WW2 vet miraculously (and thankful ) survive? There are so many ways to get the virus but no one can safely say they don't have it. Some have all the symptoms and others may have it and not have symptoms at all. The important thing is to take it seriously as death and follow the rules regardless how things appear.

On another note, I can't thank the warriors like your self who keep the supply chain in tact, the shelves stocked and the machines running by going to work everyday in front of exposure. The health care workers who literally face death every day while risking exposure and selflessly keep distance from their loved ones can't be appreciated enough while we at home are basically only inconvenienced.

I look at pictures of my grandson and it gives me pause to be grateful for all my blessings.

Take care everybody, stay at home and stay healthy.

All I can say Southern is THANK YOU!  This goes to you, your son and daughter-in-law.  May God bless and keep all of you safe and may he help all of us through this nightmare.

Guys my job is the same I’m just delivering more to water plants I’m in no danger at all. My son and daughter in law are in way more danger than I am they are working their butts off. It’s the people in the hot spots that’s doing unbelievable work and I’m thankful for ‘em.

I know what you're saying, Southern.  In my book, if you're out there, you're in danger.  Stay safe!

"how is it worse here than in China?"

China is flat out lying about what is happening there, plain and simple. They aren't reporting anyone who tests positive if they don't have symptoms, and most likely aren't reporting over half the cases or deaths they've seen. My wife is a doctor and runs the ICU here, and she has colleagues that talk with doctors over in China that they know through training... Point blank, what the doctors are telling their counterparts here in the states, and what China is telling the world... is VERY different. Don't trust anything coming from China's government.

Say what you will about whether or not you think Trump is lying about things, I'm not going to comment on him one way or another... but our free press, freedom of speech, and different government officials all speaking at their own press conferences and meetings ensures that they will be held accountable and that our numbers are very likely to be accurate. China? Everything goes through the communist party heads, nothing is let out until they put their spin on it, and you get put in jail or "disappeared" if you speak out.

You're so right Southern, right now I'm very happy to be living in Oregon. The state took things very seriously, very early and it's paying off in spades. My wife's ICU isn't getting overrun by patients, and all models show Oregon as having effectively flattened the curve of coronavirus cases.

If we lived in NYC, I'd be so stressed out on a daily basis when my wife went to work. Those healthcare professionals are really putting their lives on the line everyday, and running very low on the materials they need to protect themselves adequately. Damn heros in my book, all of 'em.

Glad that everyone here is safe and healthy, my best to all your family and friends! Lastly, keep on truckin' Southern, thank you for all you do everyday. You and your fellow truckers are the ones keepin the economy running right now, without you guys everything stops. Stay safe bro.

A big Thank You to your wife, too, Roam.  I'm sure all health care professionals will be eternally blessed for risking their health & lives.

I also have an "essential" job and have been working everyday.  Petroleum industry is considered essential.  We have 70 to 80 people in our building, they check our temperatures as we come in, and if it's high, you are asked to leave.  Other then a bit more Lysol spraying and the addition of hand sanitizers, everything here is just like it always was - although our delivery truck drivers are not allowed to use our bathrooms anymore .. so sorry Southern if you run into this at other places.  Love me some spring football, but can survive without it, however; my golf itch is getting bad, real bad.
