I'll add my thank you too, 99. I especially liked the comment by Holtz and Corso.... "Nobody out coaches Joe Paterno". Although I would probably add..... except the Bear!
I was at that game. My nephew who at one time was the football team manager during the Jerry Faust years gave me tickets. We had great seats 2 rows up from the field and near the goal post and locker room entrance. When PSU pulled off the upset I went to the field as the team and Joe triumphantly exited. I hi fived many players as well as JoPa making this one of my most memorable experiences. We had a hotel in South Bend so we were able to have dinner and hit a few bars as too. I was treated VERY WELL by the Notre Dame faithful congratulating me and honoring Joe for his accomplishments and honorable way that he ran his program. I should mention that I was treated well by the ND students as well. Though I will typically root against ND because we compete with them for recruits, it would be hard for me to hold the school and their faithful in disdain.
