Funny because looking at Penn State’s win percentage vs the East and west doesn’t show how great the East is. And yes you do keep using COVID as an excuse but you guys are famous for using excuses to defend JF. I wonder what the excuse will be this year, maybe global warming? Look, we’ve hammered James Franklin on this forum when it was justified. I remember during Covid hammering him after the Indiana game and I took it on the chin for hammering him after that horrible Iowa loss the next year where we ended up 7-6. Remoh, we both hammered him after that Michigan loss when we had the game won but overall the man has done a fantastic job. How many teams have played in 4 big dawg bowl games and has gone 3-1 and won a big 10 championship. There’s only a few coaches that’s had more success than James Franklin the last 9 years. The shithead at Georgia, Dabo, Harbaugh, day and Saban that’s about it. James Franklin falls in right after these guys imo.
Also, USC and Lincoln Riley took it on chin 2 times last year by Utah so it wasn’t an upset the first game and we all watched how we dominated Utah in their back yard in the Rose Bowl so that’s why I don’t put Lincoln Riley ahead of James Franklin. Oklahoma always had a cake walk.

Franklin deserves all the criticism he gets for not being able to win the "Big Games"...He can't run away from his record vs. top 10 teams and Ohio St. & Michigan...Those are facts...I am going to judge him very harshly this year...I believe he should beat BOTH of them this year...He should be Ohio St on the road and Michigan at home...This team looks different and it just feels different...Next week at Illinois will be the tell...They should go out there and knock the shit out of Illinois...It is their first road test with this young QB and you can bet that fat SOB will be laying for em out there...That being said this game should be a bigger blowout than the West Virginia game as I don't think Illinois is nearly as good as West Virginia is...This game is the one that is gonna tell me what this team is...

I’m still not sold on us beating both OSU and Meatchicken and Illinois was a game that looked like a game to worry about before the season started but now looks like it could be a blowout in our favor.

Texas beat Alabama last night. Alabama still look’s a little better than average on defense. I’m sure they’ll move Texas up in the polls ahead of us just like they did Florida St.
Absolutely agree with you. So far, so good. I believe the first away game being at Illinois is a big plus for us. Before I retired as an active fan, I was fortunate to be able to go to a game at all B1G stadiums and Memorial Stadium in Champaign is one of the least intimidating.
