Really interesting watch -- these guys do a good job. It feels like the big difference between Ciarrocca's RPOs and Yurcich's RPOs is that there are more pre-snap reads in Yurcich's system than Ciarrocca's system - if they do A, we do B, if they do B, we do A. That has to help Clifford as opposed to him diagnosing decisions after the snap.
It still comes down to can you block and until this team can start moving people off of the ball consistently I don't give a rip what offense they run it will not be effective...

I felt the blocking improved last year considerably throughout the year and feel like this unit will do well.
from your lips to God's ears Roam...I hope you're staying cool out there...

If I remember correctly, Moorhead’s offense was largely predicated on pre snap reads as well. Trace ran it exactly as it was supposed to be run and he was really really good at knowing when to hand off and when to keep the ball in the read option. Clifford seems to struggle with making that decision. However, I agree with you, I think Yurcich will develop the offense around Clifford’s strengths and we will see a much better player this season. Yurcich has produced high scoring, effective offenses everywhere he has been.

With very different QBs as well. Some were pro, some were dual... all successful.
Exactly correct Roam. He had Mason Rudolph sling the ball down field with a lot of success at Ok St. Then he changed gears and adapted his offense to Justin Fields in 2019 and then made Sam Ehlinger pretty successful down in Texas last year. 3 different style QBs.
Here's hoping his string continues with Clifford !
