For those interested, PSU picked up 3 big commitments today. 2 DTs and a DE. All pretty highly rated guys and the PSU recruiting class currently sits third in the country with the new additions. Long way to go until National Signing Day, but Franklin and Co are working hard and 24/7 recruiting guru Steve Wiltfong said this may be Franklin’s best class at PSU.

I see we lost out on an OT a 4* recruit to South Carolina. I understand you can’t get ‘em all but South Carolina seems a bit weird. The dude is the 9th ranked player in PA

Good morning Southern. That OT is a bit of a misconception. Rumors are that PSU offered late because he wasn’t really highly sought after until Rivals rated him a 4 star. Then PSU got him to campus and worked him out and decided they had other OL kids they preferred. So, not sure how much PSU lost out on him vs him losing out in PSU.

Plus, PSU may have offered him out of respect for his father because his father played at PSU. Either way, the kid got a scholarship to South Carolina so good for him and I hope he makes the most of it both on the field and in the classroom. It’s a great opportunity for these kids to set themselves up for a great life.

Anyone remember this: "he lacked the grey matter for PSU". LOL, the old forum. 😀
