My wife and I are considering traveling to Madison for the season opener, but have heard that badger fans are very disrespectful of opposing fans. We have never traveled to Madison for a football game. I have 3 questions. 1. Is this true about the Badger fans 2. What is the best way to get to the stadium? 3. What are parking options?
Would love advice from PSU fans that have been there and done that.

Google maps is your friend for traveling advice. If you are not confident in how you will be treated I would suggest wearing neutral colors. Play it down, fly under the radar. I've had one incident with my wife where we were asked what team we were fans of. I answered that we got tickets at last minute from a friend. My answer was we are here just to see a good game. It was evident he was a drunk. Red blood shot eyes, strong odor of alcohol. He stared us down and we were ready for anything. That includes a right hook or a left hook. I mean, this guy was loaded, drunk, off balance.
I’ve heard the Wisconsin fans are very respectful at bowl games i don’t know about being at Wisconsin. I had a friend that’s gone on to live with Jesus now but got season tickets to auburn football games and he liked the Wisconsin fans when auburn played them in bowl games. If the game goes like I think it will y’all might not be liked after the game because I’m thinking James Franklin is goi g to poor it on Wisconsin and give them a beat down baby 😁happy 4th of July brother
i noticed we picked up a couple of new stud recruits a LB’r and OT the LB’r looks to be a big stud
I went to Madison in 1996. We beat them in a close game, 23-20. There fans were by and large friendly and congenial, especially considering they lost a tough one. Barry Alvarez was a different story! We went to see the stadium on Friday afternoon. Lo and behold, the gate was open so we figured we'd go inside to see where our seats were located. We went up in the stands and looked around. The Badgers were on the field doing a walk through in front of us at the goal line. We were the only ones in the stands and we had our PSU garb on. Barry came running over to us and said "What the hell are you guys doing in here. It's a closed practice!". We explained that the gate was open so we came in to check out our seats. He told us to get the hell out before he called security. Needless to say we made a hasty exit! As far as parking, if I remember correctly, we paid $20 to park in a private lot within walking distance to Camp Randall.
@rip. I remember that piece of crap Bret Bieiema laughing when MROB got hurt. I really never cared for Barry either but he was a good coach. Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve ever liked any of the Wisconsin coaches Mr Bob lol
I have absolutely no use for Bieiema - the guy has no class at all! You're right Southern , Alvarez was a good coach, but I really don't care for him either. Kinda shifty like Dantonio, LOL.
I've been to a lot of different college stadiums, and for the most part every fanbase is full of great people. Mostly. There are some teams that have their share of bad apples though, and IMO Michigan was the worst. Still, overall everywhere I've been had mostly nice people... just saying UM seemed to have the highest percentage of arrogant, idiot fans of the bunch.
I love the college football atmosphere, nothing like it anywhere. I'm no Georgia fan, but found it so cool how they do up the Uga mascot. FSU's seminole coming to mid field and driving a flaming stake into the ground, or even the dotting of the i. Unique traditions and amazing to witness in person. Also, I love finding those opposing team fans that love talking about the history and traditions... makes for a great day.
I thought Wisconsin fans were suppose to be some of the friendliest most hospitable fans in CFB. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about their experience in Madison.

I was in Madison, years ago, attending brewing school on campus. I had the opportunity to go watch a malting operation or attend the PSU/Wiscy game at Camp Randall. The choice was a no brainer, their fans were quite cordial. But as I said, this was many years ago, soon after we joined the B1G. I'm sure in this day and age of everything PC and avoid hurting anyone's feelings at all cost, that hasn't changed at all! hahahahahahaha
Alvarez was on point chasing PSU fans out of the stadium. I wouldn’t be happy either!
