What's going on today? Evel Knievel and various other daredevils were doing this stupid crap in the 60's and 70's... it ain't new.
The guy who recently died fell from a skyscraper... no different than that dude who walked a tightrope between buildings at the World Trade Center in 1974.
My best friend from high school died B.A.S.E jumping and I was sort of involved in it with them as I was part of their crew. Sometimes I think I was lucky because I wasn’t along with them the night he died but then there are times when I wish I had gone along and maybe come to my senses and talked him out of it. I had some seriously scary experiences with them and now I look back and realize how young,naive and stupid we were.
These death divers are taking it to the same level of stupidity and I fear it won’t end well for many of them.
I understand professional daredevils like Evel Kneivel but some of the stuff I watched was just regular young kids doing it for TikTok. On New Year’s Eve there was a dude on a motorcycle that jumped buses and did other stuff too that was professional and was on TV and it was planned. A few years ago I watched a dude jump out of a plane and landed in a net without a parachute and he trained 6 months to do this and the dude was a professional at it so I get that but what I was watching with these young kids scares me. Like homer said, it won’t end good for most of ‘em.

I don't care where it derived from or if you have 40 years of experience as a PRO. That's a chance you take when you perform stupid things. So, why do it. I don't see anyone sticking a gun to a head forcing them to do so. What you're saying is that it's perfectly fine because it's been going on for years.

No, what I am saying is it isn't just something that happens today. It isn't new. Saying something was happening 40 years ago doesn't mean I think it isnt stupid.

@roaminglion I guess with all the social media out there we’re able to see what these daredevils are doing. We have 8 billion people on earth today so there’s more daredevils lol
