Rumors starting to fly around, however this one has some reasoning and legs behind it. Apparently, it's true that FSU has negotiated some sort of buyout from the ACC, and we all know that Oregon and Washington would jump to the Big Ten in a heartbeat after USC, UCLA, and Colorado all left.
Clemson part of this makes me skeptical, for some reason I buy FSU to the Big Ten way more than Clemson.
In the end, I think it's a bit of a stretch... however at this point who the heck knows? From a football standpoint it certainly makes sense, and some more southern schools in the mix could be good for the other sports like baseball and track & field to go with USC & UCLA.
If it was me, and I had to choose 4 teams... Washington and Oregon are no brainers because it's less of an island for USC and UCLA, though at that point do you bring in 2 more western teams for a more geographical balance or just get the best programs you can?
If taking more west teams after Washington/Oregon, the list probably looks like:
- Stanford/Cal (I believe they'd be a package deal like USC/UCLA)
- Arizona / Arizona State (Package)
- Utah (Only if they can find a strong 2nd team to bring in with them though... like ND)
That's it, I don't think the Big would remotely consider anyone else. Now, if looking east at those final 2 after Oregon/Washington the list could be much longer.
Sounds like clickbait BS to me. If you do a Google search for B1G expansion so many scenarios come up that it kinda proves no one knows what’s going to happen next.

Yeah, that's why I said "In the end, I think it's a bit of a stretch..." However in today's expansion world, clickbait BS has turned into reality more than a few times.
Ah, I yearn for the good old days.

So much for being clickbait... Oregon and Washington officially joined the Big Ten today, and The Big 12 officially accepted Arizona State, Arizona, and Utah. The only thing not done was Clemson and Florida State

Halfway there but I’m still skeptical of the part about Clemson and FSU. I’d be more of a believer if they had said UVA and UNC from the ACC were going to join.

I agree with you there, I'd expect the Big Ten to go those two or Stanford/ Cal
