The #2 Pocket Passer and #30 overall player in the 2017 recruiting rankings is transferring from Clemson. Hunter Johnson is his name, and reports are he is leaning towards playing closer to home (he is from Indiana). Purdue and Northwestern are in the mix, but I'm sure others in the area will be as well.
Crazy... Shows you just how good this Trevor Lawrence is. Probably the day 1 starter for Clemson, #1 overall recruit in 2018 and a .9999 rating.
Wonder if he burned the bridge to ND?
I know the guy who recruited him at ND isn't there anymore, he's the HC at Western Kentucky. I wouldn't be surprised if either Purdue or Northwestern get him... Northwestern has put some QB's into the NFL recently with Siemian and Kafka, plus his brother played there I believe.
As for Purdue, there's a lot to like with Brohm at the helm.
Is it me or does NW QB’s always give us fits?
Yeah, it's an offense with a lot of dink and dunks... shifty receivers and even the RB in the passing game. Frustrating offense to play against, but usually they stall the closer they get to the endzone. That and the QB really has to be patient in the offense
