Wonder how many players will opt out of their bowl games this year? Every year the number seems to grow.
If I were to guess, I would look at the team that has the highest potential number of NFL starters on their roster and ARE NOT making the playoffs. So Alabama would probably lead this list.

I don't think playoff teams are exempt...
I can't imagine any player dissing his team while on the path to a National Championship. A meaningless bowl game, sure, but for all the marbles, eh I dunno
I pretty sure it's already happened... I wonder if players that busted their butts all season see it as meaningless... Fans have the luxury to say it since they have really nothing vested.
Sit out a bowl game, enter the transfer portal, withdraw a verbal commitment, look for financial payments, leave school early for the NFL draft ...... anybody else see the pattern that's developed?
Why does everyone say bowl games are meaningless, yet then turn around and quote bowl records of conferences as some sort of proof that one conference is better than others?
