Based on Franklin's comments I would expect his PSU extension soon... This will be great news for the program and it's continued growth.
I expect the Rahne and Pry to remain unless they are hired away.
If coach does pull the trigger on any Coaches it might be Limegrover and Spencer, DL and OL need to improve with player talent and nasty attitude needs to be brought to the table.
I would not hold my breath on any changes after a very good season.
Did anybody else notice how small the Sr class was with the picture with James Franklin? 10-2 and we had a shot in the other 2 games we just didn’t get it done but we had a chance which is a good thing. We ain’t gettin blown out like Michigan lol
it would be incredibly stupid for Franklin to fire Spencer
I don’t think anybody needs to be fired. 10-2 had a chance to win the other 2 games in a rebuilding year is pretty dang good IMO. I do think the OL and DL needs to toughen up though and I believe they will. I think the DL was just out of gas at the end of the season.
Why? Recruiting?
The DL like the OL has underperformed and I don't see Spencer bringing in big time 5* and 4*... I have no issues if he stays but if you want to be the wild dogs he better get them or find some players that want to live up to that name.
Roam I want him to stay just wish he could get some wild dogs...
I see the DL in the same boat as the OL as far as performance this year...
Spencer needs to find some size upfront.... As the old lady from the Wendy's commercials used to say... "Where's the Beef"
Coaches don’t have magical powers. Coaches credited with possessing great skills, almost always have talented athletes.
it would be incredibly stupid for Franklin to fire Spencer
IMHO the same can be said for Limegrover
I think Joe used to say, It's not the x's and o's, it's the Johny's and Joe's. (something like that)

Pry can stay, Rahne needs to go. He can continue to be an OC, but it just can't be here!
And one more thing. Franklin, he side stepped the FSU question. Why didn't he flat out say I am staying at Penn State and that is it?! I get it, if FSU offers him $40M a year to come there, I can see why he want's to keep his option open. He did not address the question head on. I also know he is upset that some of the fan base has booed him, but that comes with the territory! Suck it up and take it!! The guy is NO JVP and he doesn't have the HISTORY to tell US to bug off!! At least not for another 39 years!
I Like JF, I think they got it right bringing him on board and he has done an outstanding job recruiting and restoring Penn State back to a top 10 program. He lost some great talent last year and still had Penn State sitting at #4 in the CFP rankings this year (at one point). The loss against Ohio State was not his fault. Ohio State is great and we are lucky that game was as close it was. Minny? Not sure I agree with some of his decisions, but I don't think he had the team mentally prepared. But again, he did a nice job at halftime and if it wasn't for that stupid penalty at the 2 yard line, they most likely would have won that game or at least would have taken the lead and who knows from there.
Joe didn't have to be coy on his answers. He was pretty much coach until he decided otherwise and he'd left the administration know he was happy with the pay and until the end the 'contract'. Franklin has not been so obvious in his commitment nor does it appear he wants to. He has leveraged for better assistant pay once before. He has earned the power he has and he is using it a bit.
Wasn't Saban a little coy when TX was looking for a coach?

You say that as if a coach saying they are staying means anything. Let's be honest, a coach can say he's definitely not leaving until they are blue in the face and people still would speculate where they are going. Coy or not.
He is the OC here and will continue to be the OC here...
Franklin plays with the press and the emotional fan like yourself.
Be prepared to be disappointed.
Spot on roam... It really does not matter what Franklin says, since you always have a faction of fans that would say "Franklin said NO but what he really ment was"
