President Donald Trump is more than 19 months into an administration engulfed in so much controversy that it may overshadow a tremendous achievement, namely an economic boom uniquely his.

During his time in office, the economy has achieved feats most experts thought impossible. GDP is growing at a 3 percent-plus rate. The unemployment rate is near a 50-year low. Meanwhile, the stock market has jumped 27 percent amid a surge in corporate profits.

I can’t put the article on here but this is fro CNBC who is not a fan of Trump. Whoever you’re listening to Roam….stop

I do agree that he spent too much money but Obama said that it cost more money to run the country and it goes up every year. I would bring all Bill Clinton’s achievements for the economy on here but there not enough room on my phone and I’m not joking lol…you’re reading and listening to the wrong people Roam

I’m not saying that Clinton and Trump are role models but as for being great presidents for the economy and blue collar working people you’ll lose that argument 80% of the time saying they weren’t great. Gas was   Around $2.15 for Trump and $1.50 for Clinton and that is what it is, it ain’t my opinion.

Oh FFS... I make my own conclusions, I don't just listen and repeat whatever the guy I like says.

  • "President Donald Trump is more than 19 months into an administration engulfed in so much controversy that it may overshadow a tremendous achievement" - What a bunch of nonsense, he was the cause of all that controversy and now it's an excuse?
  • " namely an economic boom uniquely his." - One he paid 2 Trillion dollars a year for, great... Also, the economy was already good when he took over. GDP growth was 3% in 2015-16 under Obama
  • "GDP is growing at a 3 percent-plus rate" - And? So what? GDP growth for 2021 was 6% and in 2004 it was 4%. Why are we acting like 3% GDP growth is a big deal? In 2015 & 2016 the GDP growth rate was 3%, so why exactly are we giving Trump credit for this "amazing" feat when he inherited it, he didn't create it.
  • "The unemployment rate is near a 50-year low" - It is now too under Biden, so why are you saying Biden sucks then? I guess Biden gets no credit for doing that after a pandemic? Because it's at 3.8% right now, and Biden didn't inherit a good economy... he inherited a COVID disaster.
  • "the stock market has jumped 27 percent amid a surge in corporate profits." - Again, AND???? It's hilarious that you seem to think that you're all for the blue collar guys, yet you post Trump's achievement THAT WAS UNIQULY BENEFICIAL TO CEO's AND RICH SHAREHOLDERS. Oh wait, is this Reagan's trickle down bulljunk? Rich got REALLY RICH so that's great for the middle class? LMAO

Now I know you just listen to whatever absolute BS Trump says as if it's true. He says the economy is the best it's ever been... sure, why not? No data actually backs that statement up... but whatever. Trump says it's his economy? Yeah, why not? Let's just forget that he took over an economy that Obama had growing at 3% for 2 years and say it was all Trump. Low unemployment?!?!?! WOW!!! Amazing... Let's say Trump was the most amazing President in history for getting it that low, but also let's blast Biden for HAVING THE SAME LOW UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AFTER A PANDEMIC. Trump? Amazing job... just don't look at the 3.8% Biden has... it's "distracting".

Sorry bud, but all you are doing is spouting off partisan talking points. Everything you claim to be getting from the "right" people, is just BS. You keep claiming that "whoever is in charge" is responsible for stuff, but it's always excuse after excuse when it's someone you like. Clinton? Well blah blah blah it was Bush's bill! The Republicans made him sign it! And then act like somehow Clinton invented the Internet (because that's why the economy was roaring). No amount of policy created the damn Internet, almost every economic gain during that time came from the Internet as we lost many, many blue collar jobs due to NAFTA. But it's easy to just point and say "economy good" and say it was Clinton... EVEN THOUGH IT CRASHED BEFORE HE LEFT OFFICE. Yet I don't see you pointing that out.

The economy tanked in 2000 BEFORE Bush took over (Internet bubble burst). The economy was good (3% GDP growth) BEFORE Trump took over. Yet, why not? Let's just pretend the market didn't crash during Clinton, and Trump didn't actually take over an economy that already had a 3% GDP growth rate. It's much easier to make sh*t up and talk about how great Clinto and Trump were that way.

News broke this morning that real GDP grew at an annualized rate of 33.1% in the third quarter of 2020—beating expectations and setting an all-time record.

This jump in GDP is nearly double the previous record set 70 years ago.

Thanks to President Trump’s policies, the American economy is weathering the global pandemic better than any other major Western country, including those of Europe. As the Council of Economic Advisers wrote this morning:

While the pandemic hit every major economy around the world, the United States experienced the least severe economic contraction of any major Western economy in the first half of 2020, with the Euro Area economy’s contraction being 1.5 times as severe as the contraction of the U.S. economy.

Since April, America has gained over 11.4 million jobs, recovering more than half of those lost because of lockdowns. Retail sales are already above pre-pandemic levels, many construction and manufacturing jobs have returned, business activity is at a 20-month high, and new jobless claims fell to their lowest level this week since the beginning of the pandemic.

This “V-shaped” recovery is beating economist predictions and outpacing the slow recovery under former President Obama. After the 2008-09 recession, it took the Obama Administration 4 times as long to regain the same share of lost economic output.

Im not listening to anybody, I’m getting this from CNBC article the one in the last post. This article come from economists and jobs and this was during the pandemic and I found also that the GDP was average under Obama 1.67 GDP. You honestly believe I can remember all this shit from 3 years ago roam…I can’t. You’ve also never heard me say Obama wasn’t a good president because I believe he was because he did take over a disaster from George Bush just to be clear. You brought up the pandemic is the reason I put this up.

And another thing as for Bill Clinton. I just don’t have the time to put up all the great things this dude accomplished I’d be here 2 day’s typing. You can find it you’re good at that stuff. I get it you don’t like ‘em but that doesn’t mean they didn’t do great things for this country just because of mean tweets and cigars lol

Great... check out the previous quarter, where GDP declined 31.4%. Yet again you are just posting talking points with zero context. So yeah... "his jump in GDP is nearly double the previous record set 70 years ago" sounds all well and good when you leave out the fact that THE PREVIOUS QUARTER (Q2 2020) WAS THE LARGEST DECLINE IN US HISTORY.

Then pepper in some BS about Obama after 2008 as if it's the same type of thing, which it isn't as financial crisis of banks is vastly different from a pandemic. Let's also just leave out the 4th quarter GDP growth in 2020, as it was lower than expected so that wouldn't look good either. Let's just talk about Q3, because Q2 & Q4 aren't good... right?

"GDP was average under Obama 1.67 GDP" - Yes, because when he took over there was a crisis and the economy had to recover. When averaged over 8 years, the GDP was 1.67. When you look at his last two years, after the economy recovered, it was 3%. Which is when Trump took over. You are just posting articles and quotes that leave out any historical perspective and lack any context.

Case in point, you posted about how it was the largest GDP growth in 70 years but conveniently leave out that the previous quarter was the WORST GDP LOSS IN HISTORY. So again, you just post stuff that makes him look good while leaving out anything that is bad.

Stop this freaking nonsense.

I know you love your wife and you have 2 beautiful daughters and you probably want somebody like jimmy carter in there that’s a great person but in the political world today they all have a lot of baggage with them and in most cases it probably ain’t good.

@roaminglion I just put that article up because you brought up the pandemic on how good joe Biden did and I was showing you trump did good and it was good when Biden became president. You’re a lot smarter than me Roam, you know you could make Trump look like a shining new dime if you wanted to.

Seriously, stop. Now you are really starting to piss me off. WTF Jimmy Carter? Really? I've stopped short of saying you have no effing clue what you're talking about while you continue to tell me I listen to the wrong people, or some other such nonsense, but enough is enough. You really have no damn clue what you're talking about and I'm done with it. Especially since you just post some article you found, have no clue what it means, and just act like it's proof of something with zero understanding of it.

So yeah, I went there now. I've argued my points with factual data, you've just lobbed "stop listening to the wrong people" and talking points, then insult me with Jimmy Carter nonsense. I'm out.

Please show me where I said that Biden did well with the pandemic? I gave the current unemployment rate, and you are somehow extrapolating that I said somewhere Biden's awesome and did everything well? Yeah, I'm really done.

Roam, there’s 200 million people that agree with me on Bill Clinton being a great president and 150 million or more that believe trump was a great president he just couldn’t keep his big fat mouth shut. I got the article from CNBC not Fox News so I don’t believe they are BS if I got the article from Fox News I could understand you not trusting it because I’ve heard you say you don’t like Fox News.

Stop making sh*t up. I don't care where something comes from, if it leaves out facts then it leaves out facts. CNBC talking about Q3 2020 doesn't magically make Q2 & Q4 2020 disappear. Both happened, whether Fox News or CNBC said it or not. I don't care where something comes from, if it's leaving stuff out it's leaving stuff out. Q2 was the worst quarter in US history, and you just want to blatantly ignore it and only talk about Q3.

Also, yeah I'm not doing the whole "lets put 200 million and 150 million out of my a$$" thing. Where, exactly, do those numbers come from? Thin air? Trump's approval rating is at 36%, the entire population of the USA is 330 million, so no... there's not "150 million people" who agree with you. Again, you are just making up nonsense so I'm done.

Line graph. Americans' approval of the job Donald Trump is doing as president, from 2017 to 2021. High point was 49%, reached several times in 2020; low point was 34% in 2021. Trump's average approval rating during his presidency was 41%.

Thats 120 million people sorry I was off a little. At times it was 150 million regardless it’s still a lot of people. I saw the 49% so I wasn’t just making things up. Sorry you feel that way.

FFS again stop. You have no clue what you are doing.

His approval rating at the end, and now is what matters. No one give a f%#^ what people thought 7 years ago. Also, 330 million is the total population, including kids and teens who dont freaking vote and don't give a flying sh*t about this.

So AGAIN, no... It's not anywhere near 150 or 110 million. Stop pulling sh%t out of your a$$

  • @roaminglion  Dude, all you do is look up stuff you want to believe. Trump got 74 million votes but who knows how many people that like him that didn’t vote. I could Cheri pick everything you say to death too but I don’t.  Hope you have a better day today!

That's great, you invent numbers and I actually back mine up. But sure, "who knows" how many people voted for him... that certainly proves your point that 150 or 130 million was not pulling something from thin air. 74 million voted for him? Let's just add 50% to that number because "who knows"

Trump also LOST. Biden got more votes. Oh yeah, and all your numbers actually prove is that at no point in time did the majority of Americans approve of Trump. Never. His highest point, as you said, was 49%

So good on you, you showed that at his high point, the majority of Americans still thought his was doing a bad job

@roaminglion  I thought we were just having fun I didn’t know I had to dot all the eyes and cross all the tees of course I knew Trump only got 74 million votes but I don’t like any of ‘em good enough to get in heated conversation because there’s no winning and losing because everything in politics is whatever you want to believe and whoever you listen to is telling you the truth. I can’t but there is folks that like Trump that can go toe to toe with you on all this stuff. If you liked Trump you could but you don’t and that’s okay too. Understand that there’s 75 million people that believe that everything on the news is fake news you’ve heard ‘em. I’m a competitive guy and I always love to win that’s why I want my guy Trump to win but at the same time if he loses I don’t lose one minute of sleep that’s just not who I am. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to get you that upset. I do believe Bill Clinton and Trump are the 2 best presidents there ever was but I can’t prove it, it’s just my opinion. Just trying to keep everything real here because I do mean that lol

Thank you, that's all I ask. If you want to argue that's fine, I just got a bit upset when you started saying things like:

  • "You listen to the wrong people"
  • "You would love Jimmy Carter as President"
  • "200 million people agree with me"
  • etc. etc. etc

Yeah, it's all well and good that you like Trump. Cool, I don't mind it. I don't like him, but there are things that he did that I do like. Standing up to NATO to pay their share for instance. That was good, I'm not blinded by hate for the man.

But man... you like to argue in black and white. I say Belichek isn't "the best ever" IMO and you talk like I called him terrible. I give and example of a horrendous bill Clinton signed, and you say "It was Bush's bill" while simultaneously claiming that the President is in charge and held accountable. It's frustrating.

But yeah... it was mostly the Carter thing that touched a nerve. LMAO. He was a god awful President.

@roaminglion  what I meant about Jimmy Carter is he’s a great human being and I know you’re a family man and if you think we’ll get a good man like that as president, the odds ain’t good. Trump, Clinton, George Bush and Joe Biden aren’t good role models and I was thinking that was the kind of president you wanted and it probably ain’t happening. I meant that as a compliment to you. Terrible president but a great man to set examples. I gues it come across wrong but I really meant it as a compliment to ya. Look at the past of them dudes and being surrounded by females at home I can understand why you don’t like ‘em lol I have a hard time with this sometimes lol

I don't mind tougher dudes with attitudes, just not ones with false bravado like Trump. That's how I see him, a small man who uses money to act tough but when the chips are down he never owns up to anything. A tough dude at least admits mistakes, Trump just runs away to hide from his or tries to pay people off. IMO

Please let me ask because I went back and read our conversation and I’m still confused on the Jimmy Carter thing. I just want to make sure I don’t do it again to you or anybody else. You know how these post can be but please trust me, I consider all you guys great friends and I would never intentionally say something to get somebody upset it was just a misunderstanding I can promise you that….As for Belichick, I’ll never stop until you agree with me lol
