First thing is Democrat doesn't necessarily mean Liberal, and Republican doesn't necessarily mean Conservative. Democrats do tend to have more liberal views, and Republicans tend to be more conservative but there is overlap in the middle of the parties.
As for liberal, basically it means someone who subscribes to the notion that we should all be open to different opinions and ideals, keep an open mind, and constantly challenge our own views. By challenge, what I mean is to be introspective about how we view the world. Just because something is done, doesn't mean it is "right". Just because the founding fathers did something, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. That's being liberal. Heck, the founding fathers were liberal, they overthrew the status quo because they saw it as unjust.
To be conservative is basically to hold on to traditions and be adverse to change. Someone who sees great value in the way things are done, and doesn't believe they should or need to evolve. In the American political sphere, conservativism mainly manifested in the belief of a limited government.
Neither is "bad" or "evil", just a different philosophy. That said, both views can become dangerous when taken to the extreme. Liberalism can lead to communist states (USSR), while conservatism can lead to Facism (Italy / Nazis in WWII). IMHO both conservatism and liberalism are needed, not only in a group of people but in each person individually. Most people are a mix of conservative and liberal values, not monoliths who only think one way about everything. A well rounded person would be both, depending on the issue.

If you don’t want to get on ole southern shit list they better keep gas prices around $2-$2.50. That’s the biggest thing for me so now you know why I loved Bill Clinton and Trump lol. Obama wasn’t bad and in all honesty when Trump lost I thought I was getting Obama again with Joe Biden but it ain’t worked out that way. Personally, I don’t think Joe is running thing’s because what we’re seeing ain’t his track record. High gas prices kill the blue collar people. I honestly have never understood why people think the President controls gas prices. The price of oil is largely controlled by OPEC, and even drilling in the USA isn't going to seriously affect that. Sure it can go up and down a bit, but it's largely out of a President's control. Clinton, Obama, Trump, etc... none of them effected the price of oil all that much.
@been-there-ii I believe some of it is supply and demand and it does cost money to produce gas but policies from our government also dictate rather it goes up or down. $2.25 gas prices are the supply and demand anything higher is policy from our president’s administration. Half the people in this country doesn’t care about fuel prices because they either don’t have to buy it or they make enough money to where it doesn’t affect’em but it hurts the other half and makes their lives tough. The half that it hurts can’t afford electric cars either. I heard a dude on the news say, if you don’t like the gas prices buy an electric car or walk lol…says the rich white privileged dude smh
Just to be clear I’m all for electric cars because I believe they have their place especially in cities like Atlanta but punishing people because they don’t want one or can’t afford one is what upsets me. I love my electric weed eater but it’s limited to just doing work around my house when I have to weed eat ditches or the fields it doesn’t work all that great. I’m just a common sense guy or I try to be anyway lol

Saying anything above $2.25 is "policy" is ridiculous and makes no sense.
When Saudi Arabia and OPEC cut production by 50%, no amount of policy is going to prevent the price of oil from going up due to the supply being drasitcally decreased.

No, that's not "the facts". Presidents don't control the price of oil. As for Saudi Arabia, under Trump they assassinated an American Journalist. Trump ignored all his advisors, the CIA, FBI, and everyone else telling him it was the Saudi King for "good relations". So what are you saying?
