I haven't sat and studied tape for hours...I just casually watch the games...What I have been seeing are trick formations with Allar split out wide and such...I haven't seen much in the way of WR's in motion or bunch formations...I see Warren in the slot with a WR in the other slot with 2 set up wide...He is running gadgets for sure but as far as set formations I have seen very little if any motion from the WR's and bunch formations don't exist in this offense...That is what I see...As I said...Spurrier was the best I ever saw using bunch formations and rub routes and incorporating motion to get guys open...
I will also agree with you regarding Allar...I think he has greatly improved this year...I don't think he is the issue at all...In fact I don't think it is a personnel issue either...I think the OC needs to do a better job...
Yes... and Allar is MUCH better this year. He went from a 6 yard per pass average to now in the top 5 of all college football. He's top 5 in completion percentage, QB rating, and yards per attempt.I can remember last season when people on this forum were almost unanimously claiming that Allar is too safe with the ball and afraid to take chances and that it was most likely a coaching issue. I can also remember many instances while sitting in the stands of receivers being open and Allar not seeing them and then a simultaneous moan by 3/4 of the stadium. Like I’ve said before then kid is talented but there is definitely something missing from his game and it will be interesting to see how it translates once he goes to the NFL.
At what point do people give him credit? Does he have to lead the NCAA in yards for people to see he's much better and a different QB this year?
That’s funny because most of his pass completions are to his check down. He rarely ever throws the ball more than 8 yards so all that tells me is that #44 and #10 must have pretty impressive YAC
Year 3 two different OC’s and the same struggles against Ohio St. 0-4 against the heavyweights. DA gets another shot to prove us wrong so we will see and I’m pulling for him.
FD, if The great Steve Spurrier was DA’s coach he would’ve already been yanked off the field for not getting it done in big games. When QB’s struggled at Florida they got benched.
We’re having a very good season so far top 5 team most likely headed to the playoffs. We got a stout football team I’m just telling y’all what needs to happen to beat the big time heavyweights I’m not being doom and gloom just pointing out what needs to happen to beat Ohio St. me personally I’m not satisfied winning 10 games today I want to win NC’s and imo we’re right there to get it done.
This is what pennlive has.m going on today. Georgia at Penn St. I’ll take that all day long baby. Beat dem dawgs!
I don't give a darn about separation, rub routes, formations or who's passing the ball. If our WR's would eliminate the drops and just catch what comes their way, we'd be a lot better off than we have been so far and I'd be happier than the proverbial pig eatin' sheet!
Pribula averages over a yard less per attempt...Yes... and Allar is MUCH better this year. He went from a 6 yard per pass average to now in the top 5 of all college football. So I don't know if most of Allar's throws are check downs or not... but I'd say they are extremely successful checkdowns if that is the case. 9.5 yards per attempt is very, very good.
Just posting to get some of the real topics to the top of the queue.

Would be awesome to get Tyseer Denmark some significant playing time these next two games.
@psujoe is he good enough to play? He is a freshman but we’ve played a few freshman this year.
I have no freaking clue what the heck we are doing with WR recruiting. Franklin fired the last WR coach because he wanted better recruiting, and this new guy hasn't done dick. I think the highest recruit he's got is the 81st ranked WR. Everyone else is lower than that.
Meanwhile OSU gets 2 or 3 guys in the top 20 every freaking year. What exactly is going on? Our WR recruiting sucks, and the new guy is worse than the last. Why the hell did Franklin think some guy from Virginia was a great recruiter?
@roaminglion Yeah, I thought the last guy got a raw deal. This guy has produced less. Thinking JF needs to get his little black book out again.
The last guy done a fantastic job imo
I agree... recruiting aside when the last guy came in the WRs showed improvement on the field. The last guy done a fantastic job imo
