Penn State to be just like all the powerhouse schools? Penn State has always been different thanks mostly to Joe Paterno. Joe loved to win, but doing it with honor was more important to him. Players graduating, going to class, playing with class and learning to be good men for the rest of their lives were also very important to him.
Our current coach appears to have similar values and goals. I hope he stays at PSU for 45 years (I don't want him to break Joe's record). 10-2 is nothing to be ashamed of, although this year I am hoping for 11-1. I would love to see a national championship but not at the cost of changing coaches every few years.
As Southern says 9-1 baby. Enjoy it.
Attack dogs coming in 5, 4, 3, ...
We need better coaching as we deserve better coaching as fans to get a National Championship because that is what it's all about.
Well, as long as you have a concise logical argument like it's hard to disagree with you.
I think that PSU fans want to be in the BAMA, Clemson, OSU club where PSU is in that top 4 year after year... You can't do it going 10-2 every year.
I loved the greatest Joe Paterno as much as any other fan but like players I’m always pulling for the new guys to be better. I agree, I hope James Franklin stays at Penn State for 46 years and wins 410 games. I think James Franklin is a class act and I’m glad he’s the head coach of penn st. Great days are here and greater are on the way.
I agree with all you said about Franklin and I want him to stay, Southern. I think like wine, he'll only improve with age, lol. I have to disagree with you on one point though. I don't think he'll ever pass or even catch the greatest of all time!

Reading the posts over the last few days, this guys sounds very Remohesque.
I don’t either but I’m pulling for him lol. He will win a lot of games and championships especially going forward because now he’s almost playing at a fair playing ground. Recovering from death penalty sanctions and the new transfer rules I still believe we’re not at a 100% yet probably around 85% but he’s closed the gap and we’re only going to get stronger goi g forward. We’re strong now but we still have room to get stronger.
haha Leave it to a Navy guy to make a Jarhead go hmmmmmm.
Im excited where PSU is at just need to turn the corner from good great... It's about competing for National championship every year not 10-2.
Franklin not taking this team there and if that's ok with you that's great and not a bad thing at all.

Debbie Downer last I checked PSU is 9-1 with a chance to be in playoffs this year but apparently they don’t need to play the game this Saturday. One loss to a top ten team, what a disgrace of a job thus far by Franklin and company. SMH I surely hope you have more supportive people in your life
BTW since I love James Franklin bei g the head coach at Penn State doesn’t mean I ain’t going to want to put my foot up his butt every now and then lol because I will.
Debbie downer?
You mean like the Debbie downers that can go on for days about Franklin's lack of football IQ over a timeout, play clock usage or play selection?
If I fall into that Debbie downers category then I'm guilty.

Me too Southern. That goes for Pry & Rahne as well, lol
