Saw the following in an article in "The Spun": "ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that at least two NFL teams have serious interest in hiring Meyer. And the former Ohio State Buckeyes head coach is reportedly open to the idea." Go get 'em Urbs.
He'd be a great fit for my Steelers who unfortunately won't be looking for a new coach after this season.

I'd rather Urban Meyer never come back to football. I don’t really care about seeing him coach for 3 years and then hear the rumblings of impropriety. Then he'd leave again.

I think he'd be a great fit for the NFL. I wish him all the success he deserves.
@roaminglion Yea I agree, he needs to stay out of the NCAA. Dude is slimy as shite. No respect for him at all. I have more respect for a man that loses honestly and with integrity than a guy who operates out of the gutter. I find it ironic that he teaches a class "Leadership and Character" , what a F'ing joke!!!
@rip. I'd like to see him at Texas or USC. These teams are the only job he’ll take but I guess he’s earned that. I’m not a fan of Meyer I just believe college football is better when he’s coaching.
It's more slimy when he's coaching
@southern-psu-fan..a close confidant of Urban's was on the Colin Coweird show few weeks back...He said he thought the NFL ship had sailed, although, it seems contradicted by today's news, if its true..Added its very possible he wont coach again, he wont coach UM, and likely wouldnt coach any program that regularly plays tOSU..and he has already turned down Texas..I dont see him going to the west coast..
He concluded by saying the one job , if it opened , that may interest Urban is ND..I dont see BK leaving anytime soon, and many feel ND admin wouldnt hire Urban, (Id hire him in a heartbeat, but will have no say)...So that is a moot point now..
I agree with you, that he's a college coach..
I didn’t know he was that bad what did he do?
@southern-psu-fan are you for real?

And I could keep going all day long!!! He was/is everything that is wrong with college football!
Urban meyer is a good man. One of the best all time coaches of college football. A true Icon.
I didn’t know he was that bad what did he do?
Don't listen to this man southern. He's a snake
@navylion. I’m not up to date on everything that goes on at Ohio St but I thought the cops were involved with the assistant coach and they said they didn’t have any evidence of any violence because if they were that coach would’ve been locked up I would hope. Suspending him for 3 games was telling me Ohio St didn’t see anything either but maybe I’m giving Ohio St to much credit. Like I said I’m not a fan of his but his players loved him and he seems to be a great family man I’ve seen him on tv with his daughterS and they looked very happy to me he even quit football to watch his daughter play volleyball if I remember correctly. Navylion it’s hard to ever know what the truth is but these articles don’t shed a good light on him that’s for sure I’m just going on what I’ve seen from him over the years.
I didn’t know he was that bad what did he do?
He beat us on a regular basis. Seems like every coach that does that always becomes known as a scumbag on Pennlive err I mean Nits of the roundtable.

Mr Southern: Urban Meyer is not good for college football. Controversy follows him everywhere he goes. If ya get the time, click on the links that Mr Lion provided. They're very telling. I certainly would not want Urban Meyer as PSU's head coach.
@psujoe. He also had help from the refs, replay booth and the big 10 just to be fair.
Yes I realize that but my point is the guy won a lot of games and won NC's and coaches that do that always turn into a scumbag in the eyes of certain people. He is a great coach and a winner that did it at multiple institutions.

Just look at urban meyer accomplishments in such a small period of time.
@southern-psu-fan Southern if that was the only incident, that would be one thing, but, there are too many red flags with this guy that goes back farther that Ohio state, it goes all the way back to Florida. Another thing, in another thread you were talking about the preferential treatment OSU gets from the B1G and Espin, how do you not think the suspension was a tactic to stop the bad press? Come on man. Won't even get into the Hernandez stuff. We have quite a few young engineers who work for us that went to school at UF and have witnessed first hand some of the off field antics that went on with the football team that was "fixed" before it became news. His players loved him because he allowed them to do whatever they damn well pleased and then brought in his fixer to settle it and make it go away.
Hey FD, chime in about the co-ed!

CT, doesnt his past scare you at all?? ND has pretty high academic standards and dontcha think the powers that be would be scared off by all the baggage UM brings with him?? Yeah, That he's a great coach I have no doubt, but my word, what price are you willing to pay for a National title??
See how that works gang?? My old buddy(NL) makes a statememnt, backs it up with links to prove his point, and the rest of us read the links and form our opinions and discuss.
Isnt that so much better than making a statement and then providing nothing to back it up??
