Gardner Minshew transferred from East Carolina to Washington State before last season... in his two years at East Carolina he split time with two other quarterbacks, then it Washington State he became the pac-12 offensive player of the year.
Now he's currently leading the Jacksonville Jaguars after the injury to Nick Foles. Never would have had this chance if not for being allowed to transfer as a graduate student.
Sometimes a coach simply overlooks your talent, has no idea what they are doing, or for some reason puts you in the doghouse. One of these things has to be true of Minshew's time at East Carolina. You don't go from splitting time with no name players in Conference USA to NFL QB in under 2 years without some coach seriously dropping the ball on you.
