I have Penn State on the outside looking in this week. LSU looked pretty dang good to me and That win against Texas is the best win of the season so far. I only rank the top 5 because this is where the big dawgs play but we will give honorable mention to the team out the outside looking in.

That Maryland team you trashed in another forum beat Texas like a drum two years in a row. Funny how LSU beats them and all of a sudden it's a huge win. LMAO
I’m not saying there can’t be an upset but remember I hammered Texas for losing them 2 games to Maryland. James Franklin will have our guys ready for Maryland.

LSU looked good, but we really don't know much about them yet. Yes, everyone is going gaga over their offense right now, but this is Texas... they play in the Big 12. That conference is lacking in the defense department.
Later in the year they play Florida, MSU, and Auburn on consecutive weekends. All three have good defenses, so we'll know a lot more about LSU after those 3 games. If they play well in them, it sets up one heck of a matchup with Alabama.
PSU at 13 is where the team belongs right now. Beat Maryland & Pitt, then look for a top 10 ranking.
The only ranking that really counts is the one after the championship game.
FYI for those who care, we're #11 in the Coaches Poll and #13 in the AP.

Texas lost at home and they’re still ranked ahead of some good undefeated teams. These people can’t be trusted. LSU deserves credit for going to Texas and winning and Texas deserves to drop further down. Just my opinion though

It's all smoke and mirrors...All of it...They toy with the rankings to the point where they are all playing against each other and no matter how it comes out 2 of them are in...It's really a joke...I mean just rank the whole f'in conference in the top 10 and have it over with...It's really laughable....That seems to be the gameplan...Have them only play with themselves and then rig the playoff...That's why I don't watch it...It's a farce...

FD, I don’t like the system either but Clemson did shut out Ohio st 31-0 in 2016, the Tide destroyed Michigan State the year Michigan State won the B1G. The big 10 champ has sit at home watching the playoffs the last 3 years and didn’t get a shot is what pisses me off but what can you do...nothing. Why have the conference championship games if they don’t mean anything? It’s my opinion that if you win your conference you are the best team in it because you had to do something on the field to win it lol. Jim Delany did tell the CFP committee to get back to what you said you’re going to do and get the conference champs in the playoffs so we’ll see this year if they listen to him. IMO jim Delany caused every bit of this crap cheerleading for Ohio st and Michigan in 2016 to make the playoffs when both teams were sitting home watching penn st and Wisconsin fight it out on the field for the big 10 championship. When you send the 2nd best team to the playoffs in the big 10 it’s very possible they’ll get beat 31-0 😁
Let's wait a few more weeks and then we can talk Rankings. Penn State didn't even sniff the B1G yet. 3 home game stretch against 3 below average teams and yet someone here claims a top 5 ranking. Talk about being fed with a gold plated spoon. But yet another Gas bag here has the nerve to cry about other teams ranked and label it as a rigged system.

Why do we need to wait a couple of weeks to talk about the rankings when they’re out now? I might not agree with the AP and coaches polls but I love debating them. I actually agree with most of their rankings except I think Oklahoma is a little to high and penn st is way to low.

Yes, Rankings are out southern. I appreciate your enthusiasm. Just saying, sometimes a few here get so anal about Rankings, like little cry babies. It Already started. Crying why other teams are ranked so high. You yourself put Penn state in the top 10 and who have they defeated? Zilch, 0, nobody's. They face up against a below mediocre PITT team and then they have a bye week to get ready for Maryland. Please! Some of you need to get realistic. Whoever arranged this year's schedule should lick the stadium clean from goal post to goal post. Like a bunch of wussy school girls. Again, let's wait to see some B1G play. We will see where the B1G teams rank. As I said myself along with Roam, Maryland is no joke this year. If I hate anything, its having too much pride in your favorite team.
