The weak 10 might be chicken chit but Justin Fields ain’t that dude wants to play some football baby. Hopefully we’ll get some leadership like Justin fields that has a spine in the weak 10 one day!

I'm surprised he didn't try to transfer back to GA. I don't consider what he is doing as leadership.

@psugrad81

good morning 81

Dude possibly could go #1 in the draft and he has a lot to lose if he was to get hurt playing  and IMO the kid has guts to make a stand to want to play and he’s not jumping ship on his team like some players do so that shows me some leadership but maybe leadership ain’t the right word. I respect him for standing up for all the players that want to play.

You mean he's not jumping ship this time.

I'm not so sure the ACC isn't far behind the B1G & PAC. NC is clearing out classrooms and SYR is back to cancelling football practices 'cause the players are raising testing, or lack there of, concerns.

Although, I will give you that he wants to play. If I were in my teens/twenties and I was lucky enough to be on a team, I'd want to play too.

I love how people always say they are all for protecting players, but when the chips are down it's "The Big Ten is chicken chit" for doing what they feel protects the players.

The SEC, ACC and big 12 are playing and according to some of the coaches in the big 10 say it’s safe for the players according to the team doctors. I believe politics is gettin in the way like it usually does. If the big 10 and PAC ain’t going to play then they should let players from the conferences transfer and play right away it’s not fair for these players to sit home and watch when they are healthy to play. From what I understand the SEC will have some fans it didn’t say how many

Was curious on what happened to all the Clemson Tigers who had Covid in July.  Looks like they are all ok.

Since June 1, when student-athletes began returning to campus, Clemson student-athletes and staff have undergone 722 COVID-19 tests with 53 positive results (47 students, 6 staff), a 7.3% positive rate. To date, there have been no hospitalizations related to COVID-19 for any individual within Clemson Athletics, and more than half of the positive cases have been asymptomatic.

All individuals who had previously tested positive as of the last release on June 26 have completed CDC-recommended isolation and are either back in activity or awaiting final medical clearance.

Same with LSU Tigers.  All ok.

Boy those Tigers must be tough. You have a new fan. Go ACC, SEC and Big 12.  Show us how it is done!  Let Big 10 guys transfer out immediately.  Big 10 is IVY league tough.  We should try to schedule Harvard.  Would be a good new rival.

LOL

So 2 conferences don't play, and 3 do play. Somehow you've come to the conclusion that the 3 you happen to agree with are definitly right while the other two are wrong. Amazing, what a coincidence.

I don't agree or disagree with either one, I think they can make up their own minds. But I'm sorry, calling them chicken chit because they are being cautious and protecting the players? "it's political" Oh BS, enough for the effing conspiracies that every time someone does something you don't like it's because they want to get Trump.

who said anything about trump? College football not being played or being played ain’t going to help him or hurt him. I do believe it’s politics but it ain’t got anything to do with trump it’s state local crap and you know it. If it wasn’t safe Dr Fouci would be hammering the conferences that are playing and he ain’t saying a word and neither is Dr Birx. Dr Fouci ain’t said anything to override what the doctors of the teams are doing and if they we’re doing g something unsafe he would speak out.

I already posted what Dr Fouci said about Football. He's not the type of man to get in everyone's face and hammer them for playing. He said his piece, they don't agree with it, so there you go.

I don't care whether they play or not in regards to a decision. It's up to them how they proceed, but I'm certainly not going to chastise them for being cautious...

Southern, I like your Weak 10 name, but I also like the Frail 10, since they won't let them tough it out.  For sure, Big no more.  Any thought?

yep, especially since Dr Fauci said 40 and younger are not likely to have any trouble from the virus and these dudes are in great shape. Of course there be exceptions but odds are big time on college football players side from not gettin sick. We’ve got to get on with what we do in life we can’t just sit around forever.

Oh FFS, I swear he could have said it yesterday and you'd say "well that was yesterday, what does he believe today"

you did the same thing just a couple of weeks ago when we were discussing wearing mask when I said Dr Fauci said it wasn’t necessary to wear a mask and you told me that was what he said a few moths ago so there’s nothing wrong with me wanting to know what his opinion is today because June was a bad month with the virus spreading. If he didn’t think it was safe to play football limited fans he would say so he has spoke up many times when he’s seen something we’re doing he didn’t like.

There's a difference because he actually DID change his opinion and expressed it. I didn't just say "well he may feel differently now but hasn't said anything"

Look, I'm not saying the Big 10 is right, or the SEC is wrong. What I am saying is people need to back off the BS rhetoric of calling people weak or chickens just because they come to a different conclusions than you. It's basically what's wrong with out politics in this country. Everyone's all like "oh yeah it's their decision", but when they make a decision the person doesn't like it's all "they are playing politics, those bastards are weak and stupid and don't know what they are doing!"

Unless some people just don’t want to know the answer how hard is it to ask Dr Fauci today is it safe to play college football? It’s a simple question that should already been asked since football is right around the corner.if he says today that it’s not safe to play then so be it but it amazes me he ain’t been asked
