I have again Penn State on the outside looking in and I had us 6th last week. Looks like the coaches and AP voters agree with ole southern here. What took ‘em so long? I only rank the top 5 and the outside team Looking in because this is where the big dawgs play.
I think Georgia should be 3, Florida should be 4 and Notre Dame should be 5... I can't see how anybody can compete against the SEC and Notre Dame... I say they should just play with themselves...
Not in the true top 5 FD when you lose you get punished and you drop. I don’t reward teams for losing like the fake polls do. 7-0 FD ranked 6th buddy

Honest question for you Southern. What has Clemson (Or Oklahoma) done THIS season that makes you think, at this point, they should be ahead of Penn State?

Let's take last season out of the equation as it has no bearing on this season.
Now let's take a look at the QBS.
One has thrown for 1742 yards for 16 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
The other has thrown for 1534 for 14 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
Guess which one is which? What if I told you the first one is Sean Clifford? Clifford, in my opinion, has put up better stats against better competition than that in the ACC.
If Clemson had any other name on the front of the jersey do you think, with this year's resume, they would be ranked ahead of Penn State right now?

The true top 5 is a SCAM just like the CFP! Last year's record and last year's title has NOTHING to do with this years ranking! If that was the case, then no way could PSU be #5 or #6 in your ranking by losing their bowl game and where they finished in the rankings at the end of the season! PLUS, you are always griping about the PSU OOC schedule saying they need to play tougher competition!!

There’s only a few teams that have more talent than we do and Clemson is one of those teams. I don’t think as of today we’re good enough at the RB position to beat the teams in front of us in my top 5. I love Clifford and I believe he’s going to win a lot of games for us but the Clemson QB is better regardless what the stats say. James Franklin needs another year or 2 to catch Alabama, Ohio st , Clemson, Georgia and LSU in talent. We’re good but still chasing these teams. James Franklin is just that good is why we’ve been competing with Ohio st and beating Michigan.
Not good enough at the RB position to beat the teams ahead of us? Are you serious Southern? That's probably our deepest and best position group other then DLine and linebacker...If you woulda said our OLine might struggle against some of these teams I could accept that as plausible...the bottom line is they gotta handle Michigan State and Minnesota on the road... It starts with Michigan State...This is my opinion... Penn State takes a back seat to nobody when it comes to talent... NOBODY... They have as much speed, athleticism, size and talent as any team in the country...theae ridiculous excuses about a game 12 years ago or 4 years ago are just plain fantasy...All of this SEC baloney is just that.. BULLCRAP...Who won the last game between Bama and Ohio State? The game was played 4 years ago... The B1G eastern division is head and shoulders the best and toughest division in college football... If any conference should have 2 teams in it should be from the B1G east division...
