Fixing the offense is easy just settle on Peoples as the starting RB going forward because he’s by far the best RB we have. Peoples looks and runs like he’s a big 10 starting RB while the other 3 are ok RB’s but should only see the field if we got a good lead or in mop up duty, they’re good but not near good enough to start for Penn St. if peoples is on the field we can control the game and clock when we have a 17-0 lead hopefully the OC sees this after watching the tape.
As for the defense I’m very concerned we can’t get to the QB and just flat pissed off we didn’t bring the house on 3rd and 30 inside Wisconsin territory what a eff up that was and the Wisconsin QB is not that good. If we can’t find a way to get to the QB we better get ready to score a lot of points. I don’t know about y’all but I’m very concerned about the defense knowing we struggled to get to the QB and also not getting off the field on 3rd and long and giving up big plays. I scammed through the game again and the defense at times played good but big plays and a bad QB sitting back there picking up 3rd and miles bothers me. I know how to fix the offense it’s the defense that’s worrying me? 11-1 has always been the goal and it still is!
I think we’ll be rotating DE’s until we find one that’s productive, kinda like what we’ve been doing at RB. Only 6 sacks from this D in four games and 2 or 3 of them were from LB’ers !!
Well I'll say this... it's hard to stop a team on 3rd and long when the refs let the TE truck your corner to the ground 10 yards downfield.
@roaminglion maybe our defense line is designed to just stuff up the middle or they can’t get off blocks and get to the QB’s? Maybe I’m not giving the Wisconsin QB enough credit but he didn’t look good to me and we had trouble getting to him. To be fair Wisconsin did give ND a hard time the first half but then they just wore down on defense. The final score is kind of misleading.
The defense isn't the issue fella's...This is the textbook PSU teams for the last 10 years or so...Tremendous Defenses and mediocre to terrible offenses...We got problems on the offensive side of the ball...And Rocco better get with it...I few more games like this and it will be safe to conclude that we kept the wrong QB...
@the-funeral-director the Wisconsin QB is at the bottom of the QB’s in the big 10 the dude is just not good and the defense let’s this dude score 2 TD’s late in the game. The Wisconsin defense was on the field the same amount of time as ours was playing against better players.
Unlike the OC I’m going to say DC Lynn needs a year or 2 to get the kind of players he needs to have a top notch defense. The players we have now might be good but might not fit his system because we lost a lot from last years team. The offense struggles are because of the OC won’t give James Peoples the ball consistently to wear the defense down. We got the players on offense we just got an OC that needs to get his shot together and play people’s. I might come unglued Friday night if peoples ain’t the starter and get at least 25 snaps maybe 30 because the other 3 RB’s aren’t good enough to start at Penn St. also our QB has thrown for over 10k yards so I don’t want to hear he struggles throwing the football it’s the OC needing to get his shot together. Just saying 😂

To be fair, no defense is going to stop a 73 yard TD pass if the offensive player is allowed to push the CB to the ground. Which happened.
