Members,
First, I want to say welcome to all of the new members who have joined recently and give an extra special thanks to all the members who have been here since the beginning. Without all of you, this place wouldn't exist. Thank you all very much!
I just want to send a reminder that the main reason this place exists is to talk about Penn State sports. If we all had the same opinions this would be a pretty boring place and its those times where we have disagreements that some of the most dynamic and interesting discussions happen. However, it's also the time where pettiness happens.
Remember, just because somebody disagrees with you doesn't mean you should resort to insults or name-calling. Its sports and spots bring out the most passionate parts of people and its part of what makes them so great. Unfortunately, it brings out the worst in people at times as well. We are fortunate that this board has such great posters who have mutual respect for each other. Let's keep having great conversations BECAUSE we have different opinions.
My second request is about forum topics. I have noticed a lot of posts about the same topic popping up. Just do a quick scan of the first page to see if a similar topic exists before starting a new one. This will keep our great conversations easier to find and follow. Thanks!
Third, I just want to remind some of you that this is a place to talk about Penn State Sports, not stalk other members or troll. I have let some of this slide recently but I am going to tighten the leash a little in the coming weeks. If this type of behavior continues then the guilty parties will be taking a fishing trip.
Last, what a great season its been. We are fortunate as Penn State fans to be cheering for a great team with a great coach and great fan base. The best part about this team is that it still learning, evolving and improving. Enjoy the ride! These types of seasons don't happen every year so buckle up, have some fun and keep those great posts and conversations coming.
