He was a tough old dude but I don’t believe he denied anybody water. He did make his QB’s run Oklahoma drills but that was just him. Crap happens sometimes though you never know. It’s a different world Now than 30 years ago. They said Bear Bryant did some bad things to and in todays times it may be bad but back then it was normal to be tough. Football is a very tough sport and people get hurt and some might die but I believe it’s good for kids to play. Just my opinion though. BTW Florida St didn’t leave much for anybody win back when O’Leary was at GT they stomped most teams. GT had ‘em on the ropes but didn’t get it done. You also don’t have to be a head coach to be a great coach.

After reading this short article there’s no way George O’Leary let a football player die on purpose not giving him water. He would’ve got fired if that was the case Roam for goodness sake’s. That was bad what happened but like always the public doesn’t have all the facts plus you can’t believe anything the news says. Where did I say he let him die? I said his players said in court that he denied him water and that, as well as other factors, lead to his death.
Again, stop with this deflection crap. The media didn't say it, players in the courtroom said it. So if you don't believe it, fine. Don't invent some media conspiracy to justify not believing it. Just say the players lied, because that's the implication of not believing it. That those players took the stand and lied about O'leary not allowing the kid water.
Also don't compare this to Joe Paterno. No one got up in court and pointed the finger at him.
@southern-psu-fan Why do you keep posting stuff that doesn't refute anything I said? Great, he testified he didn't see the dude... This doesn't change the fact that former players, including a team captain, testified that he restricted water.
I am stating a fact, and you are doing everything possible to avoid simply stating you think the players lied. It's OK if you do

@roaminglion I agree something terrible happened on his watch I’m just saying there’s usually another side to the story and sometimes we the public don’t have all the facts. I do believe there would’ve been an uproar and he would’ve been fired if it was his fault. I do understand where you’re coming from though and I am probably a little bias towards him because I’ve always liked him because of his GT years. You just hate when stuff like that happens especially when somebody dies, it’s awful.

@roaminglion I haven’t watched the whole game I had to get up this morning at 2:30 so I had to get in the bed last night. He’s been playing pretty good the last 2 games. Man if CV transfers I hope he goes to Tech we need more good QB’s.I’m still want to give this coach to the end of the year to see how he does I like what I’ve seen so far Roam and he’s had good teachers 😂
