If there is nothing to this then Franklin needs to just out right squash this.

Texas fans don't want Franklin and will riot if they go after him and PSU fans will celebrate if they hire him. My vote is that article is nothing more than clickbait.

I am tired of all the Fraklin rumors going to USC, Texas...who is next. I agree its click bait but the players see or hear abot this stuff too. So do the recruits.

@lakerie yea but the big difference is the coaching staff will talk to the players and recruits and let them know what's up. They really don't give a crap what Lakerie or Navy lion thinks!!

Hey been meaning to ask you, did you ever check out that Underdog BBQ joint that they did a show about? Was wondering how it is.

I've been to Erie a few times and am always up for good wings or BBQ and last time my buddies and I were up there we tried getting in that place and it was being overrun with kiddies so we hopped back in our Uber and had them take us to our old standby The Cab!! The place is a dive but the food is soooo damn good!! Get the rib special and live off the leftovers for the next day and a half!

P.S. Turkey Bacon isn't on the Menu and Rutgers fans aren't welcome.

Thanks. Was wondering if it was still open or if it was a flash in the pan because of the show.

NavyLion and Joe Mastin....As for BBQ it's good but not great but I understand they do a pretty good business even during Covid, probably from the attention they got from the show. Best place in Erie for Q is Federal Hill on 26th. and Peach street but get there early because they will sell out.

I have major questions about the show. Having spent my entire career in the foodservice supply chain, I've seen what it takes for those with real skills, sufficient capitalization and passion to start up a restaurant as opposed to rookies running by the seat of their pants. Apparantly they did win a local rib cook off launching the success of their sauce as better than any offered by real Q officianados that have done it for years. Hmmmm..OK. At the end of the show the restaurant was evaluated at $750,000 although below the show's goal of a million dollars still a lofty number. Personally I don't see it and wondered what criteria the evaluator used to get to that number. Now they want to sell the bottled BBQ sauce in grocery stores but good luck paying the mandatory grocery chain stocking fees, then competing with excellant established brands like Sweet Baby Ray's. The owners want to franchise the restaurant (Joe Masten might agree with me since he's seen the place) but the restaurant looks shabby on the outside and has no curb appeal, so good luck with that. I really do wish them well because its Erie and partners are sincerely trying to do something important. Just questions.

Yes, the Cab has really good wings. It is a dive but its a clean dive. The front section with the bar is smoking and a little hard to take but thankfully its entirely closed off from the dining area. IMHO, best wings are at the Avonia Tavern on the west side a the Fiddle Inn on the east side.

Yea just walk through the smoking section of The Cab and you smell like an ash tray for the rest of the night. I was in Avonia Tavern once and the place was packed, pretty sure I just had burger and fries + beer but next time will try the wings.

Years ago, early 1990s, I worked in the food industry as entry level. Dealt with Food safety,  sanitation,  inspections.  I then moved onto masonry for a little time. One thing for sure.  Majority of the restaurants I ate in and majority of them today make me cringe.  I remember walking into restaurant.  Not long after looking at the menu I walked out.  Unsanitary conditions.  Unlabeled cleaning products,  spray bottles near food contact surfaces, dirty tables, dirty floors.
