Please note that this is purely speculation but sort of makes sense. If this happens I will feel doubly bad for David Corely.

**On RB coach, PSU RB coach Ja’Juan Seider continues to be Miami’s top target for the job. Updating my report from yesterday, I’m told it was actually Seider that reached out to Diaz and there has been communication and mutual interest between the parties. Seider would be a big win in terms of potentially landing top 2019 RB target Mark-Antony Richards, as the two have a long-standing relationship going back to when Richards was in middle school, and he has been a huge part of the reason Richards was considering PSU in the first place.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Coach Franklin looking through his notebook for one or maybe now two coaches even as this writer posts.  Certainly not a good sign our Florida recruiter may leave.  Sheesh

Loyalty, commitment, and love is gone from college football.

Loyalty, commitment, and love is gone from college football.

Fans always wax poetic about loyalty because they don't view these coaches as employees, they view them as guys who should love the school and everything about it as much as they do.

However, it is their job. It is their profession, something they actually spent years making next to nothing on being a graduate assistant or coaching some high school while working up the ladder.

Who the heck are we to tell someone they can't make more money somewhere else. We certainly wouldn't put up with that kind of BS in our own jobs, yet we continually hold these coaches to some sort of larger standard than we hold ourselves to.

Like you wouldn't take double your salary to move to another job.

I never fault a man for trying to better himself professionally and improve the quality of life for his family!

I sure hope it's just a rumor - from all I've read he was one of the few bright spots concerning last year's new hires.

If Miami gets Major Applewhite, they will be back at the top quickly.

Heard the same rumor.  Wonder what will happen with his son, after walking on?  I understand Miami was in the mix before he agreed to walk on.

I guess us old fart, long time Lion fans were spoiled by Joepa.  Obviously loyalty and commitment died with him.  Money above everything else is the new ideal.  Probably not  a dumb move considering what his loyalty got him.

let me also say that I have no problem with anyone that has a different opinion than mine... I just get a little heated when people start questioning the commitment of coaches with statements like commitment love and loyalty are dead

😂

It may be just for this reason Franklin saves a scholly or two to give to walk on's.  If his kid is given that scholly, could be more leverage to keep the dad around a tad bit longer.

If Seiders Twitter account is any indication then the man is here to stay.  Here is his response to Noah Cain's arrival in State College.

Commitment to self is the new normal. It is a millennial thing.

You're absolutely right, Sky.  So much for the old saying, "there is no I in team".  This is what will eventually kill college football as we know and love it.  The game will probably end up as nothing more than AAA ball for the bigs.  Sad.

To be fair, I think companies failed their workers... Scrapped peoples pensions, raided their 401K plans, and otherwise kept firing people for no reason and shipped all of the jobs overseas.

You have to ask yourself, why would millennials in this day and age be loyal to companies that do such things?
