Just think about it, minus the debacle against Michigan (one which we were practically grabbing guys out of the stands to play LB), this team has lost 4 games by a grand total of 10 points. 10. Points.
That's pretty amazing to me, and sure I don't want to discount the thrashing we took at UM, but in a way I think that woke this team up. It was a great lesson for them, almost gave them a "Never Again" mentality.
IMO, that 4 game stretch (starting with the Michigan loss and ending with the Ohio State win) was arguably one of the most important in PSU history. You could literally feel it at the time: "We are... back"
I remember saying before the Michigan game in 2016 that we were walking into a bad situation, playing on the road, new young QB, new offense plus all the injuries on defense, them kind of games happen to all teams but like you said Roam it woke up the team and they’ve been kicking butt ever since. Look at all the players that James Franklin has put in the NFL since he got to penn st, not bad considering what he walked in to and it’s only going to get better baby!
You know it Southern! I think we are going to surprise a lot of the experts this year, they think we lost a lot but aren't taking into account the tremendous talent we're going to put on the field as their replacements.
