See link above. 30 min discussion but Tengwall talks about how Nike basically perfected a lineman (O and D) cleat and how Adidas is far behind in the R&D department when it comes to football, the American version of football.

I don't see any reason to support NIKE U (Oregon). I understand Adidas gives us more $ and more input. Cleats? I suppose Adidas is smart enough to reverse engineer or avoid any patent.

An Adidas school (Indiana) won last year with a dominant and physical offensive line. I don’t think they worried about being behind in OL shoe R&D. That's just ridiculous to even care about.
