No redshirts, no waivers. Even medical redshirts are gone.
Rule is you have 5 years, that's it. You get injured? Thems the breaks. Only exemptions are pregnancy, religious mission, or military service. That's it.
Clock starts when you enroll, or on your 19th birthday. From that point you get 5 years and then you are done.
This is the way, I am all for it.

That said I do think there will be an initial lawsuit, but mainly for the kids already in school who want to be under the old rules and not the new ones. They'll probably argue they should be grandfathered.
Also I am sure there will be antitrust lawsuits. Because lawyers want ever damn inch... this is why the NCAA has beeen lobbying Congress hard to grant them antitrust exemptions (like the NFL). The legislation Southern posted about a few days ago would do so.
Sorry to clarify... I meant that initially there will be lawsuits over the policy in general, but once instituted and accepted there is nothing to sue over regarding player eligibility
The lawsuits already have started...15 basketball players are suing so I am sure football is to follow any day now...My belief is they will lose in court...I think this is a great rule...
