I've heard off and on about players striking if they don't get the TV revenue and other such things. I say let them, because others will be willing to take their place and play for a scholarship. Also, they will see it's not them that puts 107,000 butts in the seats... it's the school.

I'm all for NIL, but if you want money from TV contract go form your own minor league and see how that works out.

Politics, religion, player entitlement, the Cardasheends and the Yahoo front page; I'm sick of'em all. I'm going Subdivision/D3 for games at the local colleges. So far I've heard of no D3 players retiring! LOL!!

It’s getting ridiculous. I’ve stopped watching most sports because of the greed involved and if CFB players strike it will be easy to permanently stop following them too.

@psujoe   start following wrestling. The greed hasn't caught up to football yet.

@t-hale Not as much revenue in wrestling, maybe it won't catch on...hopefully.

I’m with Roam, I like the players and coaches but I love Penn St football much more and if I see anybody hurt Penn St football, they can take a hike. I’m in Daytona for the race and I parked beside some Penn St fans lol. Gotta go back this morning the race got rained out. OMG guys, this Daytona Track is absolutely beautiful and if you get a chance please visit the track and do yourself a favor and watch this race in person, you’ll love it! Dang #6 car needs to get a win today baby

@roam

100% correct. It’s the school. It’s the side story about alumni that work for NASA, research coming from the medical school, the marching band, alumni, students, etc! Add the success about other teams. Yupp, let the woosies strike!

@psu61  I have season tickets at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).  I enjoy going to Conference USA games.

I'll go watch the future Lions play at Lackawanna JC before Franklin calls them up to the "Bigs", lmao.

Paying STUDENTS are thinking OK.

  1. Pay your own tuition
  2. Get your own dorm, doctor, gym etc etc
  3. Reduce my fees that support sports

But if one University plays the least bit hard you can bet the conference will straighten them out and Saban, I mean AL, will take further advantage.

Can a coach put a player in the Portal?  We have played with non scholarship players not so long ago!

I may put them in the same category as LIV golf.

@southern-psu-fan

Enjoy yourself, Southern.  Life is too short.  Looking forward to Thursday night.  I just hope Franklin lets his coordinators earn their pay.  If he does that we'll be fine and he will earn his pay as far as I'm concerned.  Quite a few years ago, on vacation and stayed at Ormond beach for a couple of nights.  Took a tour of Daytona Speedway, but never actually saw a race there.

@southern-psu-fan I hear ya brother! I can get down to 200ish during the summer, 'cause I'm not stuck in the house most of the day...looking at the refrigerator. Come late fall, I start eating like a bear getting ready to hibernate and swing back up to 210/212.
