I was looking at PA’s top talent 2019 on PennLive and it looks like we missed out on quite a few studs. The class ranks in the top 12 so I know it’s a good class but why did we miss out on 5 or 6 of the top studs in the state? Was it just one of those years we didn’t need some of the top guys because we’re probably loaded at the position?I pay attention some on recruiting but don’t get into it like some of you guys do. Just wondering
2020 class PSU picked up 4 of the top 8 players in the state.
One DE from Pittsburgh picks Pitt
Flemming would have been a nice get but all the same he is going to show against top competition.
Carmody is the biggest loss out of the state IMO.
With all that said I could care less if we never get a recruit out of PA as long as we are getting the best recruits we can.

Georgia had the #1 class in the country and they missed out on 8 of the top 10 recruits in Georgia. Do you think people care where the kids came from, or that they had the #1 class?????
LSU just won the National Title... 7 of the top 10 kids in Louisiana went out of state. LSU had the #4 class.
I've never understood why people care where a recruit comes from, if they are good and we bring in a solid class I don't give a rip if they are from Harrisburg PA or Miami FL. It's certainly easier to recruit your state, so from that standpoint it's good to get a lot of interest from the kids in PA. However it's more about the talent level than where they live.
Georgia and LSU finished top 5 we finished 12th. I said it was a good class and I’m satisfied if James Franklin is satisfied. James Franklin said he had to dominate the state and I believe what he says. Losing the top WR, DE and OT doesn’t look good but maybe it’s one of them years we just needed to recruit other positions I don’t know that’s why I’m asking. Unless it’s joe Paterno standing on the sidelines I’m a believer in the stars if you want to play for the NC. Of course having James Franklin makes up for a few stars 😁
I always get a chuckle out of some of the Rutgers faithful, they're pretty sure if all the NJ kids stayed home and played at RU, they'd have a Nattie in no time.
