FD, we have some good football players but do you honestly believe Minnesota would’ve beat Alabama or LSU yesterday? Ain’t happening brother. Minnesota probably wouldn’t even score unless it was mop up time. Brown is an average RB but that’s it. When a true freshman regardless of the team is your best RB that usually means trouble. Another thing the pass that we hit on the last drive that got down to the 10 would’ve been a TD if if Alabama or LSU was playing Minnesota it’s that simple. Not that we lost yesterday but I’ve always said we’re  still a year or 2 behind the big dawgs when it comes to elite players but James Franklin has closed the gap. Things are still great because we will win against Indiana and Rutgers and we have a good chance to beat Ohio st if Cain is ready to go. 10 or 11 win season is good what you are rebuilding and that’s where we are. This season is going exactly the way I thought it would.  Cheer up my brothers this is still a good season and we will finish strong.

Running game was not the problem...

OL played a much better game... I have been critical.

The back end of PSU defense was not up to the task...

Clifford was not sharp...

Some big drops...

Costly penalties...

Turnovers...

I said that if our secondary could lock down Minnesota we would by 14.  I still believe that to be the case but the secondary did not do their part.

It was Southern...And now they are 9-0 and Penn State is 8-1...They gave that game away yesterday...They are 3 TD's better than that team...That game is either gonna make em or break em and if they come back strong from this they could run the table..I believe they are going to win this week and go into Columbus on a mission...Beating OSU in their building is a tall order but this team has the talent to do it...

We should put 50 on Minnesota every time we play ‘em if we want too. Regardless of how many points Minnesota scores we should score more. I’m not blaming everything on the RB’s I just think they are our biggest weakness and when a true freshman is your best RB that usually means trouble. The days of having huge holes to run through are over you gotta have RB’s that can explode through small holes and break tackle and we don’t have that when Cain is not playing. That’s what I see anyway.

This game is a reflection of two things poor backside coverage on defense and Turnovers...

If Alabama spots 14 points from trunovers Minnesota has a chance.

PSU set up Minnesota with 14 points off of interceptions...

Absolute nonsense Southern. Alabama has lost to unranked teams in the past, and went on to win national titles. So of course Minnesota could have beat them, other worse teams have done so in the past.

Look I'm a huge PSU fan but get real please... Minnesota is not a team PSU was dropping 50 on.

All due respect it sounds rediculous.  Minnesota is a good football team.  Their WR core is better than our DBs and it shows.

PSU should have won that game if they protect the football.

Alabama would destroy Minnesota and y’all know it. Wait until Minnesota plays a team that runs the ball and they will get killed just wait and see. Wisconsin is coming up and I wouldn’t be surprised if Iowa don’t beat  ‘em this week. Minnesota is an average team this year nothing more. I ain’t going to talk Minnesota up just because we lost because it’s a bad loss regardless how you paint the picture. Sorry roam Minnesota wouldn’t even score on Alabama unless it was mop up time and they dang sure wouldn’t score 30 points, ain’t happening. Hopefully that’s just one of those on any Saturday you can get beat which I think is what happened.

Complete bull ****

Much better Alabama teams lost to unranked Ole Miss. Clemson lost to freaking unranked Pitt... and then won the National Title beating undefeated Alabama.

Simple fact is... YOU DON'T KNOW. Sure, 9 out of 10 times they probably beat Minnesota, but every year teams suffer that 1 out of 10 loss. Heck, we just did. We play a good game, we win that game going away. I really want a rematch because I'd love to show them they got lucky.

Any given Saturday Southern.

We’ll see come The  Wisconsin game and we’ll chime in on it and you’ll see that a team that has a good running game will give them a beat down.

I'm just hopin' we get a chance for a rematch with Minny in the B1G Championship game.  I think we would hang that 50 or more on them.  Revenge is sweet

What do expect them to hang on us if the secondary does not get better, 49?

I'll take a one point win any day.  Bottom line is Minnesota would have to have a complete meltdown to drop 50 on them.

I’d like to see us beat a very mysterious Indiana team.

Georgia southern, Purdue and Fresno scored in the 30’s and these are garbage teams. Get Cain healthy and we can beat Minnesota as bad as we want ain’t no doubt in my mind.

Stop with the Cain BS,. PSU ran the ball very well in that game, well enough to win... You CANNOT turn the ball over leading to 14 points and expect to win especially the way Minnesota was carving up the secondary.

Cain was not fixing that or the INTs.

Southern, we aren't a top ten team if a running back is the reason we can't beat Minnesota.

We drop and Georgia rises in the polls  and we’re supposed to have the better loss if there’s a such thing as a good loss. That tells you what the voters think about Minnesota lol gimme a break

Rahne was out coached in the RedZone. Too many fades without a height advantage. How does he not throw to Friermuth and Bowers in the redzone? Rahne's second half play calling has been questionable all season. Moorehead made adjustments at halftime and PSU offense excelled. This guy cannot play with a lead, found himself behind and went heavy on Kamler. 3 runs on 1st and goal from the 10? I just can't understand what Rhane is trying to do. I think he is the Weakest Link....GoodBye!

Has absolutely nothing to do with not being ready.  Minnesota is the better team.  They got pass happy.

LMAO, no they aren't. One team played an almost perfect game while the other did everything it could to lose. It happens, they were better that day, nothing more.

Reminds me of Florida vs. Florida State 20 years ago, everyone though Florida was the better team but FSU got em with some luck and timely plays. Unfortunately for FSU, Florida got a rematch and absolutely pummeled them by 30+

Ok, Penn state wasn't ready. Maybe Franklin should have told Peck at halftime that we are going back to the airport and heading back to Happy  valley. We are not ready for this game,  let's get more practice and finish the 2nd half when we are ready.  Lmao

I'll have to verify this , but I believe Minnesota jumped in front of Penn state in rankings.
