Back to back weeks, up 14-0 in both games (against bad teams) and both teams were still in it until the final 4 minutes. Yep, this is a problem with Michigan and Ohio State on deck!

1) Does Penn State practice when it rains? I get it, it was cold and wet and raining....I was there. But 7 turnovers is ridiculous!

2) Why did they keep running up the middle yesterday? What happen to the short pass plays that were there ALL DAY yesterday?

3) Defense had some great moments.....and some really bad ones too! No way will they keep Ohio State under 45 points playing like this.

4) Jaylen Reed looked confused most of the afternoon.  NW should of had another 14 points if the QB didn't miss his targets.

I expected Penn State to be at the worse 4-1 through yesterday.  5-0 is a blessing at this point and now the season starts.  As far as I am concerned, Penn State is every bit as good as Michigan.  Neither team has played anybody (good) up to this point, so it is really hard to tell if either them belong in the top 10.

I am telling you all right now, if Penn State doesn't take this bye week and get their heads out of their butts, they can be 5-5 in week 10.  The way Penn State has played the past two weeks, Indiana on the road is not going to be some cake walk and Maryland will pass the ball down Penn State Defenses throat.  Not sure about the rest off the season, after the last two weeks,  I am seeing red flags and I am very concerned....especially with Cliff and the Offense!

GO STATE!

1) 5 turnovers. Not 7.

2) Clifford doesn’t see the whole field therefore there were screens and underneath routes open all day that went unrecognized.

3) The defense played fantastic given the circumstances the offense put them in.

4) 5-0  Enjoy it.

1) Sorry, there were soooo many I lost count!

2) Cliff has had some nice moments this season....but against unraked teams! He just doesn't have what it takes to get this team to the next level. I swear the way he talks, JF has rubbed off on it.  If he beats Michigan, has a solid game, then maybe he will be ok the the rest of the year.  They lose to Michigan, the losses won't stop there! Trust me!!!

3)Penn State gave up 485 yards in the air the past two weeks.....against two really bad teams.  What do you think McCarthy, Stroud and Tago are going to post? Especially if Cliff and the offense can't produce meaningful drives! The defense made great plays yesterday.  That 4th quarter was sensational, no doubt about it. Reed does concerns me though!

4) I am enjoying every minute of this 5-0! My wife has told me to be where my feet are and that I do! There is only one remaining team that I know is better than Penn State but we have played them ( Buckeyes ) well and this game is at home. With the talent Penn State has, they can win every remaining game except for Ohio State....That will take a solid performance, no mistakes and a coach who just happens to show up with a game plan that he seems to leave at home very week! IMO!

GO STATE!

Georgia was LOSING to Missouri until 3 minutes left in the game, after playing Kent State the week before where KSU was in it until the 4th.

Just adding perspective. They are the National Champs, and #1 team this year. In both of our games you refrenced we never trailed and were never in a position to lose. Georgia was, to WORSE teams.

We need to be better, yes. However... we certainly aren't the only good team to "struggle" somewhat.

Keep in mind, even the "bad" teams are trying to win.

'Bad teams' is relative.   Bad compared the next 3, agree.  But after 5 games I still think our schedule is in the 90th percentile for toughness.

We should be prepared and relatively healthy for UM.

You guys want to talk about bad teams? Michigan’s schedule has been horrendous so far. Laughable. I’m surprised they didn’t play Shippensburg or Bloomsburg. Let’s not anoint them as a really good team just yet.

I am not going to disagree with one thing you said! Bama had a near miss, Clemson had a near miss, USC had a near miss...etc. Penn State "only" had one near miss and that was Purdue.  And I am still hanging my hat on that Purdue will represent the West when the dust settles. They lost 2 games, to two ranked teams which they could have just as easily won....and they just beat a ranked team.

At both games, CMich and NW, they were up 14-0 ( both games) and you could just see and feel the momentum swing.  Not sure if you made either game, but what you see on TV is NOT the same as being there. Maybe coming off a big win took some wind out them vs CMich.  Maybe the rain played a big part along with playing another not so good team.  Regardless, when you have a chance to break the top 10 and keep the magical season going, you have got to be playing at a higher level by now and I don't think that is what they are doing.

Penn State has the talent on offense to beat Michigan!  Clifford has the ability and knowledge to beat Michigan! Penn State has the defense that can keep Michigan in check! JF?  He concerns me! In both of the last two games, up 14-0 he switched and played NOT TO LOSE instead of keeping the pressure on and putting both games out of reach....IMO. He aloud the momentum to swing and that put Penn State in harms way!!!

I am hoping with this bye week, they get a chance to look at film, coach some of these younger guys up and clean up the mistakes they are making. Penn State is a better team than Michigan and they should win this on the road game! Why do I say this?  I think Penn States wins over Auburn - who beat Missouri that gave the Dawgs all they can handle - along with the tight game they had with now #25 LSU and  the Penn State win over Purdue who was only 5 minutes away from being 5-0 and ranked in the top 10 are better wins than ANY that Michigan has!!!! Penn State just didn't put away the not so good teams like Michigan did and that is what is aggravating me!

GO STATE!!!

A wins is a win. PSU, for some reason seems to be playing down to their competition. Not sure many people would have figured us to be 5 & 0 at this point of the season.

Guys, nobody is killing it this year the transfer portal is evening everything up. Defense comes to play and we’ll beat Michigan and Minnesota. I tried to tell y’all Minnesota don’t scare me one bit and look they got killed by Purdue and Michigan ain’t played a team with a pulse yet. Maryland is Maryland just like Minnesota is Minnesota. 5-0 baby, just win and keep gettin better. We might not beat Ohio Stbut imo if our defense keeps gettin after the QB I like our chances to win 2 out of the next 3 games because the defense is very young and man they have got better every game they just need to find a way to get off the field on 3rd downs. Ole southern is sasified where we are. 5-0 baby with more wins on the way 😁🇺🇸

After the last two seasons I am just a little 'Punchy" right now!! LOL  I know they have some good talent, but one play they like look like the real deal and the next play I just have to shake my head! With the exception of Ohio State, I truly believe they can win every other game.

You are right on!! 5-0 is great place to be sitting today.  We have two more weeks of being 5-0 and we need to enjoy this! They are going to blow Michigan right out of the Big House and then we are all going to be scratching our heads!!! I think you are correct about playing to the level of their competition....at least that is what I am going with today!!!!!

Harbaugh is notorious for hands on knees and dropping a game on occasion.

Like Roam said, Georgia made Missouri look like Alabama the other night. Regardless of who you’re playing, it’s hard to win these games especially on the road. Just like Georgia in the Missouri game, just find a way to win even if it’s ugly. Winning ugly is 1000 times better than losing looking good.
