1. RB rotation. Cain is #1 and Brown is #2. IMO it isn't close, Cain is the downhill RB we need to really make this offense open up. He will make defenses cheat up to stop him, opening up our vertical game that is missing lately. Brown is also a good back, and a good change of pace with his speed.

2. WRs seem to be KJ and "everyone else". Either Clifford is keying on KJ, or we are pumping it to him a bit too much. For this offense to really hit the top gear we need Shorter and Dotson in the mix more than they are.

Clifford settled into the game, and in some ways I think this was a great learning experience for him. He didn't wilt in a tough environment, and IMO got stronger as the game went on. I expect him to be more comfortable now that his first big away game is out of the way.

PS - Never let that POS ref another Penn State game again. What's his name... O'neil? He is awful. Just keep him away.

Limegrover is gettin the job done we’ve just had a RB problem but you can see when Cain is in there the OL does just fine. Brown and slade are good but not quite good enough to be the #1 RB. Hopefully one day they will be because both are still very young. Clifford is getting better by the snap and this kid has a great career ahead of him.
man these dudes on the big network thinks Wisconsin is the best team in the big 10 lol. When Wisconsin plays a team with a good defense they’ll struggle just like they always do. I know they beat Michigan but they were waiting on Michigan for that game, them kind of games happen.

I love my hometown boy Journey but Cain seems to be da man moving forward. However, I do like a change of pace speed wise which the others gives you.

I’ve seen Franklin mature as a coach. He is getting better.

Lots of smart stuff said in the above posts.

I like that adjustment to the pitch.  It keeps the defensive end and OLB honest.  Maybe someday we will go under center for a QB Sneak.  I know Iowa was playing zone, bend don't break but I thought our speed would get receivers open.  Give Iowa credit, they made us work for every yard.  So did the officials.

We got out with the win and i didn't see any injuries.

He’s good Hawaii and will keep getting better. It took LJ until his Sr year to shine and we seen how that worked out. Brown and slade need a little more work because both players are still very young. I believe Journey is the number 2 back with Slade at #3.  Cain ain’t as good as Barkley but he’s just as good as Boobie playing as a true freshman. We’re stacked at RB. I know you know all this I’m just saying lol

he hasn't matured, his team has.  It's that simple . he went from 7th graders playing varsity to an actual varsity team. It took some years, which SOME of us expected, but now he's playing with a full deck of cards.

I think Franklin has matured as a coach a bit, but still has some more growing to do. Franklin of 2014 wouldn't have brought in Moorhead, so he has eased a bit in certain areas... though remains stubborn in others.

I'll agree to disagree on that one.  He's the same coach. doing the same thing. Making the same calls. Running his style offense and defense. Just has MUCH better players to do it with.  And doesn't have to take chances he needed to when his cards were bent, torn and sometimes missing

I've seen his offense at Vandy, it was the same offense in 2014 & 2015 at PSU.

I'm sorry, but that is nowhere even close to the same offense. Just no. At Vandy and the first years here he ran a West Coast, power run scheme and in 2016 we quite obviously switched to a heavy RPO shoutgun philosophy. Not the same at all.
