I have said this since the day they announced this farce of a playoff system for D1 College Football...This isn't about competition or a genuine playoff to crown the best team in college football but a money grab by ESPN, the NCAA and it's wealthy corporate sponsors...ESPN is in bed with the SEC so it is no small miracle that the so called "polls" have 8 SEC teams in the top 25...I previously posted why this farce occurs and it's crucial role in perpetuating the myths regarding the SEC and Clemson while they all play with each other down there and load up on the citadel's and Louisiana Lafayette's of the world...They try not to schedule Troy St. anymore since they knocked off LSU in their own building last year...The ACC is a joke and is by far the weakest conference in the country...The SEC got smacked around last year during the bowl season and were exposed for the frauds that they are...Notre Dame is living off of their NBC contract and their college football dominance from the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's...Lets face it Notre Dame hasn't been a football power since Lou Holtz...The suits will sit in a room and listen to ESPN and it's sponsors and they will determine who the 4 playoff teams will be based on their data regarding viewership numbers...They will go through a litany of machinations to justify their choices and how they made their decisions but at the end of the day ESPN wants their sacred cow or cows from the SEC in there and the corporate sponsors want the teams that they believe will generate the most eyeballs on the telecasts to maximize their advertising dollars...Make no mistake about it gentlemen this has nothing to do with anything remotely resembling a true playoff system to determine the best teams but to ensure that the powers at be can control who is in, the matchups and the venue's to ensure that their interests are carried out to maximize their ROI...This is all about the money plain and simple...

I agree with most of what you say FD but it’s not Alabama ‘s fault that Louisville stinks plus the Tide will play anybody anywhere anytime just look at the last few years the teams that they’ve played and Bama crushed all of ‘em.
