How many of you guys frequented Beaver Stadium before the lights were installed?  Remember when they actually printed the KO time on the game tickets?  Those were the days my friends....

I remember those days. I remember when Beaver Stadium had an indoor track, later removed to increase seating capacity. Many a good time there on Saturdays walking past early tailgaters cooking their burgers on hibachi grills. I vowed I would never torture poor students like that though that was a vow I never kept.

Do you remember getting a pass to go out of the stadium at half-time, to refuel if you didn't sneak any in with you.  Also, no liquor store in state college - had to go to Bellefonte to buy your Bacardi or Maddog.

The state stores closing didn’t happen during my time but I do remember $5 got you a pack of cigarettes, a bottle of Boone’s Farm and some left over for gas in the car. That would have been the high light of our Saturday since there were 7 guys to every girl back then. We did make the occasional trip to Lock Haven though, some cuties there.

Those were the days.  Never went to Lock Haven, but did troll in Bucknell.
